Eira ("mercy") is a Norse goddess of healing. She knew the secret powers of herbs. She taught the art of healing only to women.
She is the patroness of health-care workers, called on against sickness or injury. She is one of the goddesses on the mountain called Lyfia ("to heal through magic"). I'm a certified and licensed massage therapist in Albuquerque, New Mexico. I earned my certification at the New Mexico School of Natural Therapeutics. Eira of the Mountain Massage and Natural Therapeutics is located in the Nob Hill Area of Albuquerque, NM.
