Owning a business is hard.
Being a single mother is hard.
Some days, it feels like I carry the weight of the world alone.
But I know — I am never truly alone.

I walk with a village:
My parents who love me without end,
My brothers who walk beside me,
My staff who believe in the vision,
My friends and community who lift me up when I forget how.

I’ve learned that healing the world often starts at home —
In our morning songs to the sun,
In the smudge rising with our hopes,
In the words we speak to our children — kind, steady, sacred.

This year has tested me.
There have been deep valleys, unexpected storms.
But I breathe through them.
And in each breath, I find a prayer.

Because even in the hardest seasons, I hold tight to the teachings:
Wóuŋšiič’iye – do good, even when unseen.
Wówačhiŋtȟaŋka – stay strong in your vision.
Aóhokičhila – lead with love and understanding.
Thekíčhiȟila – love without condition or expectation.
Wówičakȟe – speak the truth, even when your voice shakes.

And I remember:
Our naǧí — our spirit — never leaves us.
It walks beside us, listens, guides, protects.
Each act of love, each offering of time,
Each prayer whispered over water or seed —
This is how we honor our naǧí,
And the naǧí of those who came before us.

We don’t have to be perfect.
We just have to be present.
Because the world doesn’t heal all at once —
It begins one sacred moment at a time.
