Salon 24

Some things are super hard.
As a teeny business - this is one of them.

Covid-19 numbers are going up and hitting closer to home.
Time to step it up a notch.
Extra cleaning and mask wearing full time for me.
Asking you for a few extra things too. 💕

I finally have a SOLID week of working behind me.
I'm overly THANKFUL to be working and equally EXHAUSTED (mostly from the mask & less oxygen....maybe the extra Quarantine cushion too...🤷‍♀️.lol 🤪. Although I enjoyed every morsel.❤)

Things that I need to address that put a "wrench in the working day spoke".

PLEASE be on TIME.
(this was a biggy this week😔. If you run behind - so do I on the next client. It snowballs on the rest of the day.)

If you are early..try your very very best to stay in your car until your appointment time.
I need to clean/sanitize between clients plus (for your saftey) you do not need to be "passing" each other in the salon.
One client in the salon at a time.

WEAR A MASK.
(And your sweet nose must be included in that mask 😷🤪... seriously.)
This is not a "Salon 24 requirement"..
it's a GOVERNOR ORDER.
We could be fined.

This post is meant in love and appreciation -
My hope is that it is received that way.

Today was a hard day.

I'm ABSOLUTLY thankful to go back to work - don't get me wrong - so very thankful.

But -
Rescheduling folks & cleaning up this 6 week mandatory closure mess has been nothing short of a nightmare.
There is no manual to follow on how to do this correctly and it's absolutely chaotic.
I think I said "I am so sorry" at least a million times today.
Everyone is frustrated - so am I.
I have made mistakes on canceling folks & rescheduling folks. (I don't know how this could be flawless with as many times as the Govenor changed his mind on our opening date.)
Mistakes are going to happen.
Someone is going to get "forgotten".
It's just inevitable.... And I will continue to apologize to ease frustrations.
That's all I have.

Please be patient. I am answering phone calls, text & emails as quickly as I can. I may not be able to respond in my normal quickness. That was a frustration today.

As the month of May moves forward:
If you DO NOT receive your normal day before your appointment "confirmation text" - PLEASE text me.
You have ALWAYS received a day before confirmation text on your appointments..so not receiving one should bring you a red flag something is up with your appointment.
Don't wait. Don't assume. TEXT.

If you just want to confirm your already existing appointment - shoot me a text...we will get that confirmed.

I appreciate what I am allowed to do for a living.
(I say "allowed" because being a "nonessential" during the Covid-19 closure has humbled me that ANYTHING can happen and my job is never a permanent thing that I will take for granted again..nor my freedom.)

Making women feel good about themselves on the outside (and hopefully on the inside too) is an honor.
Spreading God's Glory, telling our God stories, chitchating and just lifting other women while they are in my chair.
Those are my most FAVORITE things.

I pray all this mess will get settled so we can get back to enjoying the beauty industry for what is was truly designed for - Lifting the spirits of Women.

Today has stolen a little bit of that Joy.
