A little tip if you want to work with brands 👀💕

Brands DON’T always love when you feature their product alongside other brands in the same piece of content.

And I get it we’re hairstylists. We use and LOVE products from multiple brands. But remember… working with brands is also a marketing game.

If there’s a product you genuinely love and you want that brand to notice you, give that product its OWN moment.

Show the product.
Talk about WHY you love it.
Show the results.
Tag the brand.
Make the content easy for them to see, understand, and potentially repost.

Your content is much more likely to catch their attention when they don’t have to share the spotlight with their competitors. (You may not even know their competitors)

I don’t make the rules 😂 but after 3 years of working with brands, this is definitely something I’ve learned.

You can love everybody… just maybe not in the same Reel 😂

And so… it got me. 😭

Full transparency: I’ve been traveling every single weekend since May showing up for shows, classes, work, family, and everything in between. And as a business owner, I honestly can’t remember the last time I had to actually “call out sick.” We don’t exactly get sick days lol.

But coming back from San Antonio, I think my body finally said, girl, enough. 😂

I haven’t really been working out, my eating has been all over the place, my mind has been BUSY, and I think this is my body’s way of forcing me to sit down and take care of myself.

I’m so grateful for my clients who gave me grace when I had to reschedule because unfortunately, grace isn’t always what you receive when you have to put yourself first.

And honestly, the timing might be exactly what I needed. My family is coming in this weekend to celebrate my 30th birthday next week. 🥹💕

So I’m going to sit down, drink my tea, REST, and get myself healthy because I refuse to enter my 30s like this.
