Back to the dark side for this beauty! She had an inspo pic of a super ashy brown, and also wanted to cover some old highlights which were pretty light. I think we got it just the right blend of tones to achieve that for her ♥️

I love a big change! And that’s what this sweet girl wanted today. Lived in is great and I love the low maintenance options, but bright blonde and an overall lighter look lead us to traditional highlights this time. A nice trim and some long layers to finish it off ♥️

Let’s talk about heat styling, product buildup, and how it can affect your hair! Daily heat styling can contribute to buildup of your products (which you do need! Please always use a heat protector) and cause your hair to feel heavy, dry and brittle when really you just need to strip some gunk off of your strands! My client yesterday arrived with limp, crunchy hair that REFUSED to curl no matter what she tried. No amount of extra product was giving her any hold or volume. When she told me what she had been using I immediately felt like she needed a deep detox service. After that process, her hair curled beautifully with minimal product and bounced as she walked out the door. Her hair was soft and she had natural volume without teasing or spraying. But her confidence restored was my favorite part 🥰
