after matching her natural color we gave my client long, textured layers with curtain bangs to create lots of movement. we love 🥰

sometimes it’s not as easy as just throwing a dark color on and calling it a day. when you want to match your natural or go more than 2-3 shades darker, it’s a double process
when we lighten our hair, it goes through stages to get there: red-> orange-> gold -> yellow -> pale yellow SO to go darker you have to put those pigments back in the hair first
we call this a filler; it fills the hair of the missing pigments to give your second color, the final color, something to stick to. this prevents your hair from looking muddy, dull and goinf straight green 😬

Bright blonde, what does it take to have and maintain this?
Hair this light is the highest maintenance service you can get, it requires a lot of time in the salon, money, and effort at home to keep your hair looking it’s best and even then it will still fade yellow, without fail
Here is what I recommend:
- get a shower filter to prevent mineral buildup
- use sulfate free shampoo and conditioner
- use purple shampoo/mask as needed (overuse will result in dry, dull hair) we want it BRIGHT not gray
- deep condition once a week
- leave-in conditioner for hydration and heat protectant ALWAYS
- do NOT fry your hair at the same temperature cookies bake at, turn that temperature down
These will help your hair from yellowing and will keep it looking and feeling great 🤍
