It’s official…

Tonight, I worked the last day of my “school schedule”. Tomorrow starts my “summer schedule”. Hope y’all booked in advance, because I’m taking a much needed break from my crazy, non stop “work, school stuff, soccer, volunteering, travel” schedule. I’m tired!!! I owe it to myself to pause for a little. I was doing way too much, and I need to take a seat for a while. My regular “school schedule” will resume at the end of August.

Get ready for the new me that will emerge in late August. It’ll be the same me, but I promise I’m going to try to not be such a scatter brain. The goal is to have my life more together by then.

I’ve been holding on to this one for a little while now…

I’ve been meaning to share this, but life has been doing what it does. But, here it is y’all! This is the 6th time I receive this honor, yet it is the most meaningful one to date. This past year has been A LOT!!! Juggling everything in my personal & business life has always been a lot, for the 8 1/2 yrs I’ve been in business. But, this past year… iykyk. With that said, this year I completely forgot about promoting my business to be included in the list of nominees. I completely forgot about telling my clients to vote. Didn’t even remember the deadline. The last time this happened was right after the pandemic and I totally missed out that year. But… this year was different. I randomly got a call about being listed again for best salons in Northern Virginia without even trying!!! This award was all because of those random angels (clients) that have been holding me down for such a long time. For those clients who have been my supporters from day one. For those who have been there for me in more ways than just being a client in this past year. Those clients who went ahead and voted for me and put my business on the map when I was too distracted with life to remember. You guys did this for me. This 2024 plaque (which I still haven’t taken out of the box), will forever be special. It showed me that even when I wasn’t thinking about myself, my people were out there looking out for me. I swear I have the best people in my circle. It may not be a big circle… be we sure are fierce! Here’s to another year of my “little salon” as someone once called it, being named one of Northern Virginia’s best!

It’s been a long road… but so worth it! I’m just so proud of myself… I definitely would like to thank me for putting in all the hard work! But special thanks to my friends and clients who are always there to hype me up & support my small business. Last but not least, a very special thanks to my “salon manager” aka my son. For an 8 year old, his business skills are getting prettying good. Without him, we wouldn’t have my product line. Wait until you see the project we are working on now.
