…it’s created through the small choices we make everyday.
In Ayurveda, our daily habits are some of the most powerful tools for creating balance.
The things we take in and the way we live both shape our health.
A nourishing meal.
A few deep breaths.
An earlier bedtime.
A walk outside.
A moment of gratitude.
Doing something that brings you joy!
These small habits may not seem like much on their own, but over time they can have a profound impact.
Small steps. Lasting wellness 🌿

One of my favorite answers from my teacher, Dr. Jay, is…
“It depends.”
Ayurveda isn’t about labeling foods as ‘good’ or ‘bad’. It’s about understanding YOU - your body, your digestion, your lifestyle & what helps you feel your best.
When it comes to carbonated drinks, there are a few things to consider.
Carbonation can increase Vata, which may contribute to bloating, gas or digestive discomfort in some people. It may also increase acidity in the digestive tract for some.
The one thing Ayurveda is consistent on? ICE COLD DRINKS AREN’T IDEAL FOR DIGESTION 🫣 I know… it’s a tough one for people in the United States. Choosing beverages that are warm or at least not chilled is better for digestion.
Does that mean you can never enjoy a sparkling water or your favorite pop? Not at all.
Maybe it’s something you enjoy occasionally. Maybe you notice it doesn’t agree with you & decide it’s worth limiting. Or maybe you choose to have it, understanding how your body responds & find other things you can do to help.
Awareness is more powerful than restriction. Small steps. Lasting wellness 🌿
That’s one of the reasons an initial Ayurvedic Consult is so valuable. Together we look at your unique constitution, your digestion & daily habits to help you make choices that support YOUR health.
Because in , wellness is about understanding what helps YOU THRIVE!

The mind affects the body & the body affects the mind.
How we sleep, the food we eat, our daily routines, our stress levels, and even our thoughts all work together to shape how we feel.
In Ayurveda, caring for the mind is just as important as caring for the body.
That doesn’t mean pretending everything is perfect or forcing yourself to be positive all the time. It means gently guiding your mind toward what is good, even on the hard days.
A simple habit of reminding yourself what you’re grateful for can help shift your perspective. It doesn’t erase life’s challenges, but it can keep the tendency to focus on what we don’t have from taking over.
🌿Mind Care is Life Care

Painful doesn’t always mean productive.
One of the biggest myths about massage is that it has to hurt to work.
While some areas can be especially tender, the pressure shouldn’t feel unbearable. If it’s so intense that you can’t take a nice deep breath, your body starts to protect itself. Instead of letting go, your muscles begin to brace.
That’s why we encourage clients to speak up. Pressure isn’t one size fits all & can even change from one appointment to the next depending on stress, activity, sleep or how your body is feeling that day.
🗝️The goal isn’t to see how much pressure you can tolerate. The goal is to help your body feel safe enough to let go.
The most effective massage works WITH your nervous system, not against it. We meet you where you are and encourage change at a pace your body is ready accept.
Communication is part of every great massage, and your feedback helps us find the pressure that’s just right for you!

We hope everyone had a wonderful Father’s Day! ☀️
With the Summer Solstice behind us and beautiful weather on the way… (not particularly today but it’ll get here 😂) it’s the perfect time to get outdoors and enjoy everything the season has to offer.
As you’re hiking, gardening, golfing, biking or tackling those summer projects, remember to check in with your body. Increased activity can lead to muscle strain and tension, especially if it’s been a while since you’ve moved that way.
Stay hydrated, stretch, listen to your body & don’t wait until discomfort becomes pain.
Enjoy your summer! And if your muscles need a little extra attention, we’re always happy to help.
What’s your favorite way to enjoy the warmer weather?

Stress doesn’t look the same for everyone.
Some of us FIGHT 🤺 becoming reactive, irritable or quick to anger.
Some FLEE 🏃🏼♀️ staying busy, avoiding problems or constantly distracting ourselves.
Others FREEZE 🥶 feeling stuck, overwhelmed or emotionally shut down.
Ayurveda teaches that while we can’t always eliminate stress, we CAN change how our body and mind respond to it.
Small daily habits (how you eat, sleep, move & care for yourself) can have a profound impact on your resilience, energy and outlook.
One of my favorite Ayurvedic principles is: “Like increases like.”
If we continually surround ourselves with negativity and habits that don’t support us, those patterns tend to grow. But when we intentionally bring in more balance, nourishment and calm, we create space for healing.
I like to describe Ayurveda as helping people declutter their lives. Removing what no longer serves them so they can feel more like themselves again.
If you’re ready to understand why you’re feeling the way you do and create a plan that’s personalized to you, an Ayurvedic Consultation is a wonderful place to start.
