1. HAIR MATTERS
The type of hair that you buy makes a difference in the results you will see. For this style it is recommended that you purchase 100% human hair as you may need to manipulate it as you would your natural hair along with minimal shedding. Also, synthetic and or a blended hair will eventually mat and make it tangled in your locs causing a bigger problem. Curl pattern is simply preferential.

2. METHOD
The method that you choose to install the miracle knots over your locs is crucial to the health of them. Social media has shown different methods that work perfectly on naturally braided hair when installing them, however, on locs it can become detrimental overtime. Crocheting the hair through the locs will create holes that will eventually cause breakage. I recommend doing a loop over method that will allow the hair to remain intact over the locs while reducing any causes for damage. Removal is also easier this way.

3. PRICING
Miracle Knots were initially designed to be a DIY style and an alternative to traditional BoHo Knotless Braids. Because the style is performed on natural hair, whether braided hair or locs, the use of human hair is almost necessary to achieve the desired look and longevity. However, that comes at a cost. Human hair bundles can be expensive, and even high-quality synthetic/human hair blend options that provide a similar result can still range anywhere from $70–$100+ per bundle.
Please be aware that whether you choose to perform this style yourself or have it professionally installed by a hairstylist, the overall cost will likely be the same as if not more than traditional BoHo braids.
