Know that the Lehigh Valley was very welcoming to me and my family during our time here and I would not have traded my time with you for anything in the world. Change is good! I promise. And l'll do my best to leave you in good hands. Massive bear hugs

Grateful for friends who let me experiment 🤲

My friend Gwen volunteered today so I could practice some kinesiology taping for tennis elbow. Always fun getting to test new tools and techniques that might help people move and feel better.

Appreciate you being the guinea pig, Gwen! 🎾💪

Did you know that muscle tension is usually driven by the nervous system?
When your brain perceives stress (physical or emotional), it increases sympathetic activity - raising muscle tone, amplifying pain signals, and preparing you for action. Over time, this can create persistent tightness and sensitivity.
Massage works by stimulating mechanoreceptors in the skin and muscles. These receptors send signals through the spinal cord to the brain, where they can:
• Inhibit pain signaling (look up spinal gating mechanisms)
• Activate descending pain modulation pathways
• Increase parasympathetic (vagal) activity
• Reduce stress-related arousal
Simply put, massage changes how your nervous system processes tension and pain.
The result is relaxed muscles and a regulated system.
That’s why lasting change doesn’t come from “forcing tissue to release,” (aka. Hard Pressure) but from helping the nervous system shift out of protection and into safety.
Massage is applied neurophysiology through touch. ♥️
