Flashback to last week when the tease Hello Salon Pro threw a super cutie party up at amika headquarters up in NYC. I had the best time road tripping up there with my girl Kelly Martin - Bethlehem, PA Hair- Pulp Riot and loved connecting with my fellow creatives. The attention to detail was 🤌🏼

I got invited to this because the tease was so kind to include me into the Amika:Backrooms project where artists get to test lab samples of Amika’s new drop (🥁 THE PROTECTOR) before it launches. I’ve used amikapro for many years and I will say, this new line delivers some serious color protection, heat protection and hydration (while being lightweight). Amika truly never misses. This was a fun opportunity, I loved testing these products and feeling sneaky haha.

I’ve been so inspired lately by my friends Teryn Tucker - Orlando Haircutting Specialist and Ashlee Norman over at BumblePRO who do so much razor cutting so today I jumped all in. A few years ago I took a cutting class with Ashlee and while I’ve used her techniques with scissors I’ve always been intimidated by the razor. After lots of self doubt I decided I’m done self sabotaging and holding myself back so I jumped right into it. To say I am absolutely obsessed with how this cut came out is an understatement. So light and airy with so much movement. I think the razor mighttttt be my new bestie 🤷🏼‍♀️

9 years ago Justin and I got married on my family farm that I grew up on. Every single thing about that day was so perfect. My daddy married us (he has been a minister my whole life) which was SO special, and we were the last wedding my dad ever had 🥺 The weather was perfect (HOT- just how I like it lol) and there was just so many things that made it so sentimental. Getting married on the farm that I love.. no words for that. God was everywhere that day there was no doubt about it.

Over our time together he’s given me the two most beautiful little boys, endless support in my career (always holding the fort down so I could attend classes and shows and work on creative projects), believed in my vision sometimes more than I did, makes me laugh until I almost p*e every single day, and always shows up for me and the kids. The best dad ever 🥺

I love you Justin, I’m elated to be doing this life with you. Happy Anniversary, babe. Even though our wedding song was Oasis and not Taylor Swift, I still wouldn’t have changed anything about our day 🤣

I just looked at my feed and realized how much random bu****it I’ve been posting lately so, here’s a beautiful blonde to break it up and remind yall why this little corner of the internet exists. Because hair is life that’s why

Flashback to that time Justin Michael & I were in Dallas and went to a Cowboys game (🤮) in our Saquon Barkley jerseys with ALYSSA SALMON• NEW YORK• BLONDES & BALAYAGE and SAM | LONG ISLAND COLORIST

I got drunk, ordered a margarita at the stadium and kept the cup to take home to put in the car just in case the kids ever needed to p*e or throw up in 🤣🤣🤣🤣 The stadium was right outside our hotel room, and when we woke up everyday, we opened the curtains and flipped it off. As Eagles fans, we have a certain reputation to uphold, and I hope we made our city proud hahaha

FUN FACT: I didn’t tell her until AFTER I did her hair that I’ve never done a calico color before 🤣🤷🏼‍♀️ This was definitely fun to do. I prayed to Kelly Clarkson’s 2002 hilights before I executed this and they answered 🙏🏻

4.56 & 6.56 with red booster for the dark burgundy
8.4 & 6.43 with copper booster for the copper
Chairlift and 10 vol (no toner bc the raw lift was IT)
3N for a dark chocolate brown

Cut with ARC Scissors Paragon II

Cleansed & Conditioned her color with the *new* amika Protector duo and finished with the protector spray to lock in her investment

Styled with jrlusabeauty blowdryer, round brush, and 1.5” iron
