What better way to celebrate than being tucked away in the Soapery, mixing, pouring, swirling, sniffing, and making a glorious mess while restocking some of your favorites? 😂

Fall Market season kicks off Saturday, so things around here are officially getting a little sudsy and a whole lot chaotic. 🍂

The shelves are filling up, the Soapery smells AMAZING, and I’m cranking out all kinds of handmade goodness just waiting to come home with you.

So if your soap stash is looking a little sad… consider this your sign. 😏 Come see me at the fall markets, smell all the things, stock up on your favorites, and maybe find a new obsession or two.

Fair warning: sniffing is encouraged. Leaving empty-handed is not guaranteed. 😂

🌿 LUFFA UPDATE! 🌿

Apparently, people need to know what’s happening with my luffa. 😂

Well… according to my brother, who had the privilege of watering these monsters while Tim and I were gallivanting around Europe:

“Every time I stopped, I swear those damn things doubled in size.” 🤣

And I’m starting to think he wasn’t exaggerating.

These luffas are BIG. Like… what have I created? big. 😂 Now I’m getting ridiculously anxious to harvest them and find out if I actually managed to grow real, honest-to-goodness sponges or if I’ve just spent an entire summer raising giant green decorations. 🤷‍♀️

I may try a little drying hack this weekend because patience has never really been my thing. 😏

Will it work?
Will I have homegrown natural sponges?
Will this turn into another one of my “I have an idea…” adventures?

Only time will tell. 😂🌿

It’s been a hot minute since I’ve formulated something brand new… and apparently a trip to Morocco was all the inspiration I needed. 🇲🇦

This little idea followed me all the way home and has officially made its way onto the Mid-Mitten Soapery test bench.

The star of the formula? Argan oil from Morocco—rich, silky, luxurious, and basically begging to be turned into something fabulous. 💁‍♀️✨

So naturally, I started mixing, measuring, tweaking, sniffing, and making a perfectly respectable mess in the name of product development. 😂

Will it be nourishing? Yep.
Will it feel luxurious? That’s the plan.
Will I leave well enough alone until I get the formula exactly how I want it? Absolutely not. 😏

Morocco gave me the inspiration… now Mid-Mitten Soapery is giving it a little attitude.

Apparently, I’ve reached the stage of gardening where I’m not just growing food… I’m growing sponges. 😂🌿

Yep—LUFFA! Those scrubby little things you see in the shower actually start out looking like giant cucumbers hanging on a vine. Who knew?! 🤯

I’m growing my own natural luffa sponges this year and, if Mother Nature cooperates, I’m hoping to add them to the Mid Mitten Soapery lineup! 🧼🫧💕

Because apparently making the soap wasn’t enough. Now I need to grow the thing you wash with too. 😂

Stay tuned… these babies still have some growing and drying to do, but I’m already dreaming up all the ways to pair them with some handmade soapy goodness.
