Secure Ponytail Method for Weft Extensions

1. Section and secure each row individually
Start by securing each extension row into its own ponytail. This helps lock in each weft row for stability and control.

2. Place your bottom row ponytail
For the highest possible finished ponytail, position the bottom row as high as you can without the wefts flipping upward or becoming visible.

3. Secure the second row
Create the second ponytail just above the first row. Keep it close to the bottom ponytail while ensuring it also lays flat and does not flip or lift.

4. Smooth and combine top hair
Brush all remaining natural hair from the crown and front over both secured ponytails. Make sure all wefts are fully covered and the surface is smooth and blended as desired.

5. Create the final ponytail
Gather all remaining hair—including both secured row ponytails—and form one final ponytail. Place this as close to the scalp as possible for a clean, secure finish.

6. Adjust for comfort and tension
If needed, gently loosen the earlier ponytails to relieve tension while still maintaining security and structure.

This method helps distribute movement and support so the extensions stay secure throughout the day, especially during higher movement or wear. It can also be adapted for a single-row installation if needed.

☀️ Extension Girls, Read This!

Not all sunscreens are safe for hair extensions.

For extensions, choose a 100% mineral sunscreen that uses only Zinc Oxide and/or Titanium Dioxide as the active ingredients.

🚫 Avoid chemical sunscreens containing ingredients like Avobenzone or Octocrylene. These ingredients can permanently discolor, stain, or turn blonde extensions orange.
