Aguilera Brothers Micromill are a set of Cup of Excellence–winning siblings who carry on their longtime family tradition by working together to plant, pick, and process coffees from their combined 60 hectares of farmland. The variety San Roque, also known as San Roque Kenia or Kenia is a variety closely related to the Kenyan variety SL-28. Notes of intense panela, dried fruit, with burnt sugar and elderflower. Strong sugary sweetness.

Coffee Tasting Event - Las Lajas Mill – Unique Varieties from Costa Rica

In August, Belux Coffee Roasters team made a short trip to Costa Rica to visit Las Lajas mill. The mill has an extremely good reputation for its Natural and Honey processes and is among the very first farmers in Costa Rica to produce Honey and Natural process specialty coffee. During our visit, we cupped 6 different coffees with different processes. In this event, we will select 3 unique coffee varieties from the cupping table to taste. We will introduce 4 different Natural processes and 4 different honey processes from Las Lajas Mill.
