Alpine Dermatology is urgently seeking multiple part time medical billing specialists.

Anticipated weekly hours are 20-25. Schedule can be arranged around candidate's availability as long as they are during normal business hours.
DUTIES TO INCLUDE:

Accurately verify coding imported from EHR, according to payer and current CPT guidelines, with a goal of submitting clean claims to all payers with 48 hours of date of service
Correct initial claim edit errors and resubmit claims
Work directly with the insurance company for prompt claim reimbursement
Manually check each insurance payment for accuracy
Ability to work payer denials and submit corrected claims
Review insurance pending claims to decrease accounts receivable to less than 90 days
REQUIREMENTS
Technical:

2 years of billing experience (non-negotiable)
Ability to check CCI edits prior to claim submission
CPT and ICD 10 knowledge
Medical terminology knowledge, dermatology specific preferred
Solid understanding of billing software and electronic medical records
Personal:
Self-motivated
Ability to work well in a team environment
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong problem-solving abilities
Strong attention to detail
Ability to prioritize tasks a must
Must have the ability to multitask and manage time effectively
