Let me tell you a little bit about our Blacksoap.

Blacksoap is a modernized name for our very own "ALATA SAMINA"

Back home(Ghana) , we used it for cleansing and bathing for beautiful and glowing skin.

I love Alata Samina, due to it benefits it gives to the skin. But rather unfortunate, I found it too harsh on my skin. So I stopped using it.

Let's talk about Shea Butter. (Unrefined Shea Butter)

What is Shea Butter?

Shea butter is a seed fat obtained from the shea tree. Shea trees are found in tropical
East and West Africa. Shea butter is made from two oily kernels contained in the seed of the shea tree.

After removing the kernel from the seed, it is ground to a powder and boiled in water.The butter rises to the surface and Harden.

I personally apply shea butter on my skin for various conditions like acne, burns, dandruff, dry skin, eczema, etc..

How does it work?

Shea butter works like an emollient It might help soften or smooth dry skin.

Shea butter also contains substances that can reduce skin swelling.

This might help treat conditions associated with skin swelling such as eczema.

That being said, as an African mother, I will advice to always have an organic Shea Butter handy.
