Pro Tip from a Stylist of almost 20 years: Your hair isnāt dry⦠it might just be overwashed. If your ends feel crunchy, your color fades fast, or your scalp gets oily the day after washing, the answer usually isnāt more shampoo. Itās using the right amount and focusing it where it belongsā¦your scalp.
Healthy hair starts at the scalp. The length is just along for the ride.

Friendly reminder from a recovering people pleaser:
You donāt have to attend every event, join every committee, answer every text, or fix every problem.
Sometimes the healthiest thing you can say is, āYeah⦠no, I donāt think so.ā

Lately Iāve been thinking about how much Iāve changed over the last few years. Not in some dramatic āfound myself on a mountaintopā kind of way. More like getting knocked around by life a little, learning some hard lessons, taking a good look in the mirror, and realizing I still have plenty of things Iām working on.
I know a lot of people originally followed me for hair, and trust me, thatās not going anywhere. I still love what I do. But if youāve been here for a while, you know this page has become a lot more than blondes, extensions, and before-and-afters. This little corner of the internet is kind of a peek behind the curtain. Sometimes itās hair. Sometimes itās business. Sometimes itās family, therapy, burnout, relationships, hormones, life lessons, or me oversharing a random thought from the pool while trying to solve the worldās problems. š¤£
The truth is, Iām not interested in pretending Iāve got it all figured out.
The last year especially has humbled me in a lot of ways. Burnout snuck in when I wasnāt paying attention. Iāve had to navigate some personal stuff, some health and hormone challenges, and Iāve had moments where I didnāt feel much like myself. But hereās what I keep coming back toā¦Life isnāt about avoiding hard seasons. Itās about learning how to walk through them without losing yourself. Iām learning to protect my peace a little better. To stop carrying things that arenāt mine.
To focus on whatās going right instead of whatās going wrong. To laugh more. To take myself a little less seriously.
And most importantly, to keep showing up as myselfā¦even when itās messy. So if youāve been following along for the hair, the business, the chaos, the life updates, the questionable humor, or just because youāre curious what Iāll say next⦠thank you.
I appreciate you more than you know.
Iām still growing. Still learning. Still figuring things out as I go. Hopefully youāll stick around for the ride!

Your extensions are expensive. Reading the back of the sunscreen bottle is free. š Tiny summer reminder: if youāre blonde or wear extensions, check those SPF ingredients before you head to the pool. Future-you (and your wallet) will thank you.
