It's International Women's Day!
The Body Shop at Home has been empowering women and girls for years! One of the things I love most about The Body Shop is that they work with women all over the world, giving them access to the market, paying fair wages and enabling them to provide for themselves by funding their ventures.
For instance, the operation in Ghana is a woman owned business passed down from mother to daughter. Since 1994, The Body Shop has been working with the Tungteiya Women's association in Northern Ghana, and they handcraft 390 tons of Shea Butter for us every year!
