So many memories.

After 56 years as a cosmetologist I knew the day would come that I would compose this letter. I have been at this location for 48 years
and have made the decision to permanently close the doors of
Jodie's Hair Center. It is a bittersweet decision to make however
God has continued to bless me with this life changing experience.
Through all the years I have come in contact with so many
wonderful people in all walks of life. Maybe one day I will write a
book about some of the experiences that we have all shared. Yes,
we became a family and like all our children they eventually leave
the nest some just stayed longer than others. We even had a play
pen in my office where some of the babies slept while their mother's worked. A sweet attachment for me! Now and then they
come by to say hello. Like all families we laughed, cried, disagreed
we even argued, but the most wonderful part was praying and
making up with Jesus right in the center of it all. Through all the
years I came to love most of the stylists. To name just a few during
this last season of our careers: Mary Perez 42yrs., Betty Hernandez
31yrs., Sharon Jackson 25 yrs., Martha Torres 24 yrs., Paula DeSham 16yrs., Joe Louis 15yrs., and Lynn Case 6 yrs. My life changed
tremendously after the death of my husband Bert last year and it
is time to move forward and see what the Lord has in store for me.
I give HIM all the praise and glory for blessing me. After all it was HIS salon I just managed it for HIM. Truly He blessed us all. I would
like to thank you for your confidence, trust, and loyalty through
the years. It has been my privilege to have shared in your lives.
The joys as well as the times of grief. Your friendship, support and
ministry have left a deep imprint in my life. I will cherish the
memories.

 Hello everyone, this is Betty Hernandez from Jodie‘s Hair Center. I’ve had an amazing 31 years working at Jodie's. We’ve laughed, we’ve cried, and we’ve prayed together but most of all we became a family. But Jodie Fisher is ready, ready to be fully retired! At 80 years of age, she deserves it. This Saturday, June 15 will be our last day at Jodie‘s Hair Center. The salon will be closing. I wish Jodie the very best may she have a happy retirement.
