Sasha’s graduation means so much more to me than watching an employee finish school. Somewhere along the way, she became family. ❤️

I’ve had the privilege of walking beside her through this journey—teaching her, pushing her, encouraging her, celebrating her wins, and probably driving her a little crazy along the way. 😂 And through it all, I’ve watched her grow, not only as a stylist, but as a person.

School is a LONG commitment. It isn’t always easy, but Sasha kept showing up. She stuck with it, worked hard, and she saw it through. That alone makes me so incredibly proud!

Now I get to watch her step into this next chapter—building her clientele, growing behind the chair, and creating a career of her own. There’s something a little bittersweet about watching someone you’ve mentored begin to stand on their own, but mostly I just find myself thinking, “Look at her go!!” ❤️😍

Meet Marleen! ✨

Hello, everyone!

I’m Marleen, and I’m so excited to officially begin my cosmetology apprenticeship at Salon In The Hills! I’m working toward becoming a licensed cosmetologist in the state of Iowa, and I’m looking forward to learning, growing, and gaining lots of hands-on experience along the way.

I recently graduated from Johnston High School, where I was involved in Student Council, National Honor Society, Silver Cord, and School-To-Work. During my senior year, I also had the opportunity to intern at Talking Heads Salon. That experience gave me a chance to see what working in a salon is really like and made me even more excited to pursue cosmetology.

I’m so happy to be starting this next chapter at Salon In The Hills! I’m looking forward to meeting new people, getting to know our clients, and continuing to learn everything I can about the beauty industry.

I can’t wait to see where this journey takes me! 💕✨

We’re so excited to introduce the newest member of our team—Tiffany!

With 10 years of experience behind the chair (including 9 years at JC Penney Salon), Tiffany brings a wealth of knowledge, skill, and passion to everything she does. 💇‍♀️

She’s a busy mama of two who’s chosen to work part-time so she can focus on what matters most—her family—while still doing what she loves. We’re so happy she’s chosen to call Salon in the Hills her new home!

Originally from Boone and now living in Radcliffe, Tiffany is ready to welcome new faces into her chair! Whether you’re looking for a fresh cut or a little refresh, you’re in great hands 🙌
