You wanna know what happens if your BUTT doesn't work?!?!?!

🍑

Nothing.

That's the scariest part.

If your glute doesn't work your BRAIN will find another way to do things like WALKING, RUNNING, AND SQUATTING. Our brain doesn't care how you get a movement related task completed it just cares that it gets the job done.

If your glute isn't working correctly, it will ask neighbouring muscles to its work.

We call this COMPENSATION.

Too much compensation equals stress in places that our joints just don't need extra stress. Since it our glutes are the BIGGEST, MOST POWERFUL MUSCLE in our body, it is good idea to make certain that they are able to their job effectively.

A Christian Response to Charlie Kirk’s Murder

Christian minister here. Charlie Kirk is not a martyr for Christ, despite claims from the right.

While we condemn his murder and the gun violence that led to it, we must also reject MAGA’s effort to portray him as something he was not.

Kirk preached hatred and division as a white Christian nationalist, which contradicts Jesus’ teachings. He preached anti-Semitism, Islamophobia, racism, misogyny, and homophobia. Jesus said that the Greatest Commandment was to love. Kirk preached that empathy was weakness, and that gun deaths are the cost of freedom.

His death is tragic and I’m thankful that the shooter has been apprehended, but the media should stop portraying him as a man of peace just following Jesus when he was anything but.

And, yes, It dishonors the United States to award a white Christian nationalist the Presidential Medal of Freedom, as Donald Trump has promised.

White Christian nationalism is a false Gospel rooted in white supremacy.

This week’s violence was horrific and has been rightfully condemned. But that violence should not be used today to normalize - even celebrate - the hatred white Christian nationalism embodies.

All of us need to commit ourselves to non-violence. Anything else is incompatible with democracy.

Peace be with you.

💥Complexity of the head and neck ⤵️
.
The human neck and head are intricately designed structures, housing numerous vital components that contribute to our sensory perception, communication, and overall well-being.
.
👉🏼Vertebral Column:
.
The neck, or cervical spine, consists of seven vertebrae (C1-C7), forming the foundation for the head and providing support and flexibility.
.
👉🏼Muscles and Ligaments:
.
Multiple layers of muscles surround the neck, allowing for a wide range of movements such as flexion, extension, rotation, and lateral bending.
.
👉🏼Nervous System:
.
The spinal cord, a crucial part of the central nervous system, runs through the vertebral column, transmitting signals between the brain and the rest of the body.
.
👉🏼Brain and Skull:
.
The brain, housed within the protective skull, is the command center for the entire body. The skull consists of various bones, including the cranial bones that protect the brain and the facial bones that give structure to the face.
.
👉🏼Vascular System:
.
Major blood vessels, such as the carotid arteries and jugular veins, run through the neck. These vessels supply oxygenated blood to the brain and return deoxygenated blood back to the heart.
.
👉🏼Respiratory and Digestive Structures:
.
The neck contains the trachea (windpipe) and the esophagus, which are essential components of the respiratory and digestive systems.
.
👉🏼Endocrine System:
.
The thyroid gland, a part of the endocrine system, is located in the neck. It produces hormones that regulate metabolism, energy, and growth.
.
👉🏼Sensory Organs:
.
The head houses several sensory organs, including the eyes, ears, nose, and mouth. These organs play a fundamental role in vision, hearing, olfaction, and taste.
.
👉🏼Lymphatic System:
.
Lymph nodes in the neck are part of the lymphatic system, helping filter and fight infections.
.
👉🏼Emotional Expression:
.
Facial muscles and expressions are integral to communication and emotional expression.

Follow @fitomizefitness to learn ways to process emotions and trauma using gentle movements designed to release tension and restore balance to your body.

Did you know the subscapularis muscle, located deep in your shoulder, can hold onto unprocessed emotions? This powerful yet often overlooked muscle is key to stabilizing and rotating the shoulder, but it’s also a common storehouse for feelings tied to protection, control, and unresolved stress.

Common emotions trapped in the subscapularis include fear, anger, and overwhelm. These feelings are often linked to defensive postures and a sense of “holding in” or guarding ourselves from perceived harm. For example, fear of vulnerability can cause us to hunch forward, tightening this muscle to shield the heart and chest.

Less commonly, the subscapularis can store emotions like guilt, insecurity, or even grief. These emotions may subtly manifest as physical tension, reflecting inner struggles with self-acceptance or difficulty letting go of the past.

Why does this happen? The body and mind are deeply connected. When we face chronic stress, trauma, or emotional strain, our muscles respond by tightening, creating physical patterns that mirror our emotional states. Over time, this tension becomes habitual, storing unprocessed emotions in the body.

The good news is that you can release these emotions. Gentle stretching, somatic practices, and breathwork are effective ways to bring awareness to this tension, helping your body and mind process and let go.
