Two northbound lanes of Grand Avenue will close south of the 20th Street intersection, through just north of the intersection, beginning Tuesday, June 2, for replacement of a power pole by Ames Electric. The lanes are expected to open by end of day on Wednesday, June 3.

Traffic will be maintained in each direction using the two southbound lanes of Grand Avenue. Motorists should use caution in this area.

Plan your route

The outside lanes of Bloomington Road, from George Washington Carver Avenue to Stange Road, will close beginning Monday, June 1, weather permitting, for removal and replacement of pavement, curb, and a storm water structure. This is anticipated to take two to three weeks.

Starting Wednesday, April 2, northbound traffic on Stange Road from 13th Street to Blankenburg Drive will be detoured to Grand Avenue via 13th Street and 24th Street. Southbound traffic will continue to travel in the outside west lane that is currently being used.

While this project is an Iowa State project, we wanted to help spread the word and let you know of the detours. Please use caution in the area and allow extra time for travel.
