Well it’s that time of year again when the critters are coming out and eating all your pretties! If you would like to try the hair trick just let us know and we will fill a bag for you! Just sprinkle hair around your plant and see if it works! It has worked for me in the past.

Our Story
Welcome to Salon West!
We are located at 4518 Mortenson Rd Suit #105 between Sun Tan City and Westown Pub here in lovely Ames! We have been around since 2002 and our team has been together for 15 years! Since we are located in Ames we do support our Cyclones but like any house hold we are divided and some of our team members do support the Hawkeyes! Our team is always looking for new friendly smiles to see each and every day! Our salon offers various different options in hair cuts, coloring, facial waxing's and perms! The owner Barb Appenzeller comes from a military family and offers military discounts to say a big thank you for what our active military and veterans have done for us! Students we didn't forget about you either, keep up to date with us on Facebook for special student deals! We have a lot of regular customers but we enjoy to create new ones!
