❤️A little Wednesday encouragement for you if you need it. The song is More Like Jesus ❤️

I’ve been told to live my own truth
Do whatever makes me feel good
Get rid of boundaries, the rules are stifling
Chase good feelings, soon we’ll be gone
But I found myself more lost than ever
Enslaved and bound to my desires
And that’s not freedom
Holy Spirit, make me more like Jesus
Every day a little more like Jesus
Crucify my flesh with Yours
That my new life might be secured
Everything I do, done so I can honor You
Resurrect me, sanctify me
Make me into Your imag
Oh, make me more like Jesus
More of You and less of me
I feel the change coming
I feel the change coming
More of You, and less of me
Transformation by Your Spirit in me
Now that I know You, I know there’s no one else for me
‘Cause You’re the One that my soul loves (oh)
Now I find myself more alive than ever
My life laid down for your desires
Now this is freedom
Holy Spirit, make me more like Jesus
Every day a little more like Jesus
Crucify my flesh with Yours
That my new life might be secured
Everything I do, done so I can honor You
Resurrect me, sanctify me
Make me into Your image

Transformation takes a little work. ✨

I’ve always loved a good before & after, and this little guitar project reminded me of something bigger.

Sometimes things don’t need to be thrown away. They just need a little attention. A little cleaning up. A little repair. Some patience. And sometimes… a fresh set of strings. 🎸

This old Eterna by Yamaha had plenty of nicks and wear, but underneath it was still a good guitar. I cleaned it, oiled the neck, waxed the body, touched up some of the rough spots, put on fresh Martin strings—and suddenly, there was a whole lot more life left in it.

And honestly? Life can be like that too.

We can go through seasons that leave us worn, scratched up, or a little rough around the edges. But that doesn’t mean we’re finished.

Sometimes transformation is simply taking the time to care for what’s already there. Little by little. One step at a time.

The progress may not happen overnight, but the before and after can be pretty amazing. ✨

Just a little side project, a little life lesson, and a reminder that there’s often more beauty and purpose left than we realize.

🎸 $135 OBO — this guitar is looking for its next chapter.

Singing songs with Dolly. 🐈🎸🎶 Because you’re never too old to take a different path—or pick up an old passion again.

If you have a hobby, don’t neglect it. If there’s something in you that you’ve always wanted to pursue, make room for it. God gave you a voice, creativity, and ambitions for a reason.

Last night was just me playing around with some random songs because… it’s fun. No plan, no perfection—just music, Dolly making her frequent appearances, and enjoying the gift. 😂

Maybe you need a little reminder to make time for the things that light you up, too. ✨

Radiant Through the Unexpected

This morning I was reading about Jesus as a child in Luke, and it shifted something for me.

We often picture Him as the teacher, the miracle worker—the Lord, fully formed. But before all of that… He was a child.
He had parents. He learned. He obeyed. He grew.
He lived an ordinary life before stepping into something extraordinary.

That perspective stayed with me.

A longtime client recently shared parts of her story with me. At 39, she left an abusive marriage and walked away from a full life in California. She came back to Ohio and started over. At 40, she found out she was pregnant. She rebuilt her career, her identity, her life.

The woman I know now, in her 50s, is strong, grounded, and completely transformed.

And here I am, at 39, realizing something too…

Maybe we misunderstand timing.
Maybe the “before” seasons matter more than we think.
Maybe growth isn’t late—it’s right on time.

We don’t always see what’s coming next.
But that doesn’t mean it isn’t being built.

If you feel like you’re behind, you’re probably not.
Some of the most meaningful chapters don’t even begin until your 30s, 40s, and Beyond.

There is still so much life ahead. ✨
