Ever wondered why you would want to blow cool air on your hair? Here’s why! ⬆️⬇️

The “cool shot” is to instantly cool the hair down (closing the hair cuticle) giving your hair shine and reducing frizz. You can obviously tell it works! Left is with no cool shot, right is with a cool shot.

Tip: Don’t skip the “cool shot” 😎

Pro tip, or maybe just a personal tip? Who knows!

I always start foiling in the back, just preference, but also easier to wash out the back, if needed, first. I typically start with 15vol developer in the back.

Once finished with the back, I move onto the face frame/hairline area. HERE IS MY TIP, lower the volume! It will process faster. Why?
1. Heat of the head
2. Hair typically isn’t as dense (thinner) around the hairline.
I typically drop down to 10vol.

Then I will finish the sides/mohawk section with 15vol or 20vol.

I usually always will pull the hairline foils before everything else is processed (even processes quicker than the back usually). No over processing here, we have all been there… not good.

Low and slow is always what works best for me! I’m not the slap on 30-40vol and get the hell out. It’s like my meat in the crock pot, always low. High always ruins the meat! 🤣

There’s my pro tip: Always drop the volume on the hairline 😘
