I get asked β€œwhat product should I use?” more than almost anything else.

Sometimes the better question is β€œwhat is my body building with?”

Hair is made by your body, and your follicles need real materials to do their job:
- Protein
- Iron, zinc, and magnesium
- Water
- Healthy fats
- Steady meals

Not perfection. Not a crazy diet. Just consistent support.

Nutrition doesn’t fix every case of shedding or thinning, but it does matter. If something feels off, check in with your provider, and let’s look at your scalp together.

Flat, greasy roots aren't always a shampoo problem. Here's what I see most in the studio:

1. A dirty brush. It puts old oil and product back on your roots.
2. Pillowcases and hats. They hold oil and pass it back to your hair. Wash them weekly.
3. Touching your hair. Oil from your hands travels to your roots.
4. Water that's too hot. It can leave your scalp stripped, then oily.
5. Heavy products near the roots. Keep styling products off the scalp.
6. Long stretches between washes. Oil and buildup pile up over time.
7. Hormones and stress. Both can change how much oil your scalp makes.
8. Sweat left sitting. Rinse after workouts.
9. Buildup a regular wash can't reach. A scalp facial clears what normal washing misses.
10. Skipping the second wash. The first wash breaks up oil and product. The second cleans the scalp itself. Do a bit more if your scalp needs it.

A lot of people come to me worried about their hair when the real story is on their scalp.
Your scalp is living skin, and it reacts to what's happening around it. Products, stress, and irritation can all make it more reactive. When that goes on for a while, hair growth can be affected.

What I look for at the studio:
- How your scalp feels between washes
- Redness, tenderness, or flaking that keeps coming back
- Changes in shedding or thickness over time

Hair loss isn't always a hair problem. Sometimes your scalp is asking for help.

Save this for later. Book a scalp check, link in bio.

Girl math: if it makes you feel better, it's an investment πŸ’Έ

A healthier scalp. Hair that feels like yours again. A little time that's just for you 🀍 That's not an indulgence; that's maintenance.

Hair loss does not get easier to treat the longer you wait ⏳

Every follicle has a window, and that window gets smaller every month that passes without the right intervention.
In the early stages, the follicle is still active. Still alive. Still responding 🌱

This is where we see the most powerful results, and where the right education and the right protocol can genuinely change someone's life.
Wherever you're starting from, there's a plan ✨

The earlier we start, the more we can get back.

Most people treat dandruff like it's one thing. It's not. πŸ™…β€β™€οΈ

Dandruff is a description. Seborrheic dermatitis is a condition. And knowing the difference matters way more than most of the beauty industry gives it credit for.

Here's the thing nobody tells you: your scalp isn't supposed to be sterile. It's got its own ecosystem living on it, Malassezia, staphylococcus, cutibacterium, all of it. They're not invaders. They're just... residents. And a healthy scalp means they're in balance, not gone.
When that balance shifts, that's when things go sideways. Your barrier gets irritated, inflammation creeps in, and you end up stuck in that annoying loop: flaking, itching, redness, oil, repeat.

It's not because you're dirty or doing something wrong. It's because most products treat the symptom instead of the actual environment. ✨

This is what I want more people to understand. Not just what to put on your scalp, but why it's acting up in the first place, and when it's gone past what a treatment alone can fix.

That's the difference between someone who does scalp treatments and someone who actually understands scalp health.

Scalp health isn't something you think about once and forget.

Your scalp changes with stress, weather, product use, hormones, styling habits, and everyday life.

Quarterly scalp facials give you a consistent routine for:
- Cleansing and buildup removal
- Hydration
- Scalp comfort
- The thing most of us forget to prioritize: time to reset πŸ’†β€β™€οΈ

This work is so much more than treatments and technique.

It's about creating a space where you can exhale. Where you're cared for, listened to, and truly seen.

In a world that never slows down, I think we forget how healing that kind of stillness can be. We're all craving connection. Nurturing touch. A moment to just breathe.

Being part of someone's journey toward healthier hair, a healthier scalp, and renewed confidence isn't something I take lightly. It's a privilege, every single time.

If you're ready for that space, I'd love to hold it for you. Link in bio to book. 🀍

Your scalp can't tell the difference between a deadline and a lion 🦁

And I can tell you're stressed before you even say a word.

I can usually tell within the first minute under the scope if someone's been running on high alert for a while.
- Tight follicles.
- Inflammation that won't settle down.
- Shedding that doesn't line up with anything they've actually changed.

Here's what I wish more people knew: your body really only has two settings, one built for danger and one built for growth, and hair only grows in the second one.

A lot of my clients are wired 😬They can't fully wind down at night, they're waking up at 2 or 3am for no reason, their scalp feels tight or tender when I touch it, and more is coming out in the shower than they're used to.

Others are the opposite 😴 Shut down. Foggy, flat, running on empty, checked out more than they'd like to admit. The shedding is quieter but steadier, and regrowth just stalls even when they're doing everything right.

I see people try to fix this with a better shampoo first, and I get it, that's the part you can control. But if your nervous system is still on alert, your follicles are still getting the same message. Not safe to grow yet.

This is exactly why I never start with a product. I start with the scope πŸ”Ž I need to actually see what your scalp is doing before I can tell you what it needs, because a good routine can only do so much when the signal underneath hasn't changed. That's the piece I see missing most often.

Stress doesn't just live in your shoulders. It shows up in your scalp too.

When cortisol spikes, hair follicles can get pushed out of their growth phase early.

You usually don't notice right away. It shows up as a heavier shed 2-3 months later.

Here's what actually helps:
1. Regular scalp treatments to release tension and get blood flow moving to the follicles
2. Anything that calms your nervous system, even a few minutes a day
3. Consistency; this isn't a one-time fix

This is part of what we're doing every time you're in the chair here. A relaxed scalp isn't just a nice feeling in the moment; it's protecting your hair growth long-term.
