A few calendar details can change the timing of your filler appointment.

At Coastal, we use a four-week precautionary window around dental work, tattoos, and vaccinations, and review recent illness before treatment.

Something changed before or after your appointment? Let us know.

A detail-focused approach to lip augmentation.

Lips are highly mobile tissue, and small differences in anatomy can completely change how a product behaves. Every treatment is customized around the patient’s existing lip shape, tissue quality, facial proportions, and desired level of fullness.

product selection → different fillers have different rheologic properties, so product choice should match the tissue and the treatment goal

volume → the amount used is based on what the lip can accommodate while maintaining shape and proportion

placement → depth, location, and distribution of product matter just as much as the amount used

The goal isn’t one specific “look.” It’s a result that makes sense for the patient in front of me.

Photos taken immediately after treatment; swelling is present.

Still covering the same under-eye shadow every morning?

Sometimes what reads as “dark circles” isn’t actually pigment at all. It’s the way hollowing, thin tissue, and the transition from the lower eyelid to the cheek create shadow.

The Coastal Signature Under-Eye is my individualized approach to treating that shadow with small, strategic amounts of hyaluronic acid.

For some patients, the under-eye itself is only part of the picture. The midface provides the structural foundation for the lower eyelid, so when support is lacking there, treating the tear trough alone may not give the most natural result.

That may mean a little midface support first, followed by deeper or more superficial under-eye refinement depending on what your anatomy needs.

The goal is never to simply “fill the hollow.”

It’s to restore support where it’s missing, soften the shadow, and create a smoother transition from the lower eyelid into the cheek — so you look more rested, not more treated.

Consultation required to determine candidacy and treatment plan.

Sometimes the best way to soften the lower face is to stop chasing the lower face.

In this case, the focus was restoring support through the midface and adjacent preauricular area—improving cheek structure, the lid-to-cheek transition, and some of the shadowing that can develop around the nasolabial fold and lower face as facial volume changes.

4 syringes of JUVÉDERM® VOLUMA® XC were used to restore structure and support while maintaining her natural proportions.

The goal was a more rested, supported appearance without changing the features that make her look like herself.

Immediately post-treatment, so mild redness and swelling are still present.

If your skincare routine requires its own recovery routine, we should talk.

Good products can still be the wrong combination—or simply too much, too often. Bring your lineup to a skincare consult. We’ll look at the ingredients, how you’re using them, and what your skin is telling us.

We know—we’re only just heading into fall. But meaningful changes take time, and the holidays will be here before we know it.

If you want your skin to look its best for something in December, now is a good time to start planning. This isn’t a list of everything you need to do. It’s a guide to choosing a treatment based on what you actually want to improve, then working backward from your event date.

Holiday party, wedding, vacation, reunion, family photos or something else entirely—save this for the next time you have something on the calendar.

Your exact plan and timing should always be personalized to your skin.

The midface is one of the most important structural areas of the face.

Over time, changes in bone, fat compartments, and soft-tissue support can flatten the cheek and make the transition into the under-eye and nasolabial area more noticeable.

For this patient, we treated the midface with the goal of restoring some of that lost support and contour.

What I love about this result is that nothing looks “added.” Her cheek has more structure, the under-eye transition is smoother, and the face reads a little more rested and balanced overall.

Facial filler is less about adding volume and more about understanding anatomy, proportion, and where support has changed over time.

That’s the part of this work I love most.

Gilmore Girls, but skincare. 🍂

A little Stars Hollow, a little skin barrier, and a lot of opinions.

Which pairing is your favorite?

The treatment almost no one thinks about first: the midface.

The midface is often the foundation for addressing concerns elsewhere in the face. Restoring support here can improve the under-eye transition, soften nasolabial folds, and even reduce the appearance of early lower-face heaviness and marionette shadowing—without directly treating those areas.

In this case, we treated the cheek and midface strategically to restore support while keeping the result soft, balanced, and completely natural-looking.

Sometimes the best result comes from treating the area that’s driving the change—not just the area you notice first.
