HERES THE COLOR CHOICE & WHYYY ⬇️

** in no way I’m saying this is the onlyyyyy color choice to go with, it’s simply what I chose for her to match her goals **

First let’s state the facts:
• she’s a fitz 3
• combo mature skin

Her goal was to have brows but not too dark like Joan Crawford she said. (LOL I had to look her up) She wanted them soft and natural so we went with a pixelated look

So here’s the breakdown of her color:
• Oak & Blackish brown (neutral brown & warm dark brown) 40% : 60 %
• I diluted it with thinning solution since I wanted a softer healed result.

Her undertones were a bit olive, so I was counting on the warmth of Blackish Brown to bring out a pretty brown like her hair color.

HOW TO SHADE THE LEFT BROW with an Ombre!

Your instructor says go “light” but I find that a little subjective, don’t you think?

Instead of teaching one technique I focus on helping you find a shading style your hand naturally creates & adjust from there. So if you found your shading technique here’s how to adjust:

• use percentage (%) on how saturated you want to shade your passes. In the video I used a 25% shading coverage aka saturation. Then overlapped each section

• shading style : pendulum shading, shades twice: shading towards and away from self. (So think of this as the DOUBLE) butttt if you shade one way, this is a SINGLE whyyy? Simply because the needle shades into the skin in oneeee direction. Now that we have that info, pendulum shading will saturate more. So it’s not wrongggg to use pendulum or shade one way, you’ll just get different results.

Listen this should have been basic info provided to us during training, yesssss but the PMU industry is evolving as well! One technique is too close to zero.

I agree it’s so scary! ESP your first time!

Here are a few things to keep in mind to create a crisp outline:

• using a 2 point stretch vs a 3 point stretch, know when it’s appropriate to use 2 point stretch to avoid “dips” in the shape.

• TAUT not TIGHT, don’t over stretch! You just want to hold the skin ”in place” over stretching may make it harder for the needle to break skin and/or distort the outline shape.

• 90 DEGREES for this one! You want to puncture the skin & deposit ink, straight downnnn not diagonally into the layers. Stay light & swing into each whip.

Most importantly slow down, you don’t need to rush this process! I remember my very outline 😅. If you’re a new artist, remember we all started exactly the same. Zero outline experience too!
