That pressure you feel can mimmick an ingrown nail but sometimes it's because you have just enough deadskin resting under & around the side of your nail, and you can't always see with it your eyes.

Be Careful how you remove it, aggressive digging and cutting the nail back vertically thinking it will relieve the pain might at the moment, but leaves you open to a recurring problem and vou become frequent to ingrowns with thicker skin build up.

INSTEAD... exfoliate the area 1x a week in the shower committing to cuticle oil daily is demanding for some but if you can even do 2 times a week go for it.

When its freshly wet scoop out the loose dead skin Over time any dead skin clinging to healthy skin will reduce.

The Advanced Pedicure is designed for callus training. One session removals are great, but can you push that pedicure out for 3 months without the issue returning?

We don't stop here, but today we don't persist....

This is advanced pedicuring a barrier compromise! The 2 part transformation that will bypass the rebound effect and give us permission to work with the skin not against. By training the skin and the client's daily hydration methods we attack the recurring problem not the recurring keratinizing.

This build up can absolutely be removed in one round but not without delayed contradictions and negligence. This is Reflections mission and practice. CLINI-cosmetics

Stay tuned for the final return for this transformation and book *The Advanced Pedicure if you are having similar challenges.

2 transformation services one price. 🩶

Just to name a few, however anv client who would be more compromised to infection or has inadequate healing abilities

Fun fact in a average non-diabetic client anv micro trauma in this area beqins to repair its self within one hour and reseals within 1-3 davs,

However in those with compromised immune svstems or again healing capabilities such as diabetics this can take several davs to a week.

The risk is not worth "pretty cuticles" to a specialist so we do not remove the surroundina skin or Hijack it as you see me doing in this healthy individual for cosmetic purposes, and deep cleaning.

We clean around and near the base with a gentle touch.

& children... get their toes into strange things so we let the kids be kids

As an experienced Specialist we identify, but keeping in our scope we simply call this dry "linear splitting"

It's Functional Methods- here's where clini-meets cosmetics, could I have reapproached this with the podo-disc to further reduce and smooth?

Absolutely but because I took the proper consultation, asked the right questions, learned my clients lifstyle, foot care routine, healing dates, sensory & basic medical history...

I purposely left what I call a "curtain" of skin around the exposed and contact area to catch the impact as well prevent The Rebound Effect.

REBOUND? Friction, heat, vibration or any aggressive approach that sends a message to the sensory receptors to panic and produce more cells to rebuild.

CLIENT LIFESTYLE? A frequent sandal wearer (exposed heels and constant pounding) seasonal hydration routines ( does not always stay moisturized or treated.

This tells me her new "smooth" exposed skin would constantly be stretched and pounded. That's a no go for new & thin

Instead we follow the 70/30 rule ♡ reduce bulk put client on a customized routine to holistically not just mechanically approach the issue to prevent rebound and re-splitting, in return will support her lifestyle.

We don't strip you bare for Asthetics forcing you to return again as much as I love having you 😉

This is what separates reflections from... Pedicure Technician to Advanced Pedicure Specialist, with deep knowledge in Clini-Cosmetics 🩶

If you are prone to ingrown nails you'll want to avoid cutting the tip of nails back to short

Avoid curving the corners back

After the point where the nail usually curves or dig, leave just enough nail so that it has already passed the "danger zone"

Remember that sometimes build up of skin can also mimick the pain of an ingrown as it pushes between the skin, so keep your skin hydrated and nails cleaned out the 🩶
