• High-Quality Products: Professional color, treatments, and styling products are pricey.
• Tools & Equipment: Shears, clippers, brushes, combs, irons, and dryers need regular maintenance or replacement.
• Sanitation & Safety: Disinfectants, capes, gloves, and other sanitation supplies are essential for client safety.
• Continuing Education: Staying current with trends and techniques requires classes, workshops, and certifications.
• Business Expenses: Rent/mortgage, utilities, insurance, booking site monthly fees, app monthly fees, and taxes all add up.

I just spent a lot yesterday and came home with a small box of essentials—it really puts things into perspective!
