Retaining your clients is just as important as finding new ones. Having long-term clients allows you to grow your business and continue to 🌱grow 🌱 relationships within your business.

Here are a few tips for client retention 🥰

💗 Do a thorough consultation and always communicate. Always be there for post-treatment support.
💗 The client is always right – in most cases, use your discretion.
💗 Ensure your quality of work.
💗 Be accommodating with your schedule, but don’t get walked all over.
💗 Provide aftercare kits and items that you retail.
💗 Book fills before your clients leave.
💗 Do not bad mouth other clients or artists.
💗 Be open to correcting any work the client is not happy with

Have you ever wondered why your lash adhesive taking so long to dry?

There are 2 main things that can be causing this 👇🏻

1️⃣ Humidity levels are too low. Get a humidifier or use a glue aid.

2️⃣ Your glue may be old – if it's beyond 6 weeks, toss it. Pro tip: write the date on the bottom of your adhesive to ensure you never forget when you opened it and know the expiry.

A few mistakes I see Lash Artists make 👀

✨Not having client consent forms. Consent forms will help you collect information from your client to perform the best service customized to them and protect your business and career. 

✨Improper eye pad/tape placement. This step is the foundation to starting your lash set. Ensure that all of your bottom lashes are separated from the top to avoid stickies. Place your eye pad close enough to your clients waterline, but not too close that it will scratch or hurt your clients eyes. 

✨Speeding through a set. Take your time working on your clients - this will help with isolation, placement, and adhesive amount which will all result in a comfy, weightless set of extensions.

✨Uneven length transitions. Smooth transitions through your lengths will make your set look pretty and polished.

✨Incorrect extension weight. You, as a lash artist, need to use the proper extension for your clients natural lash. Too heavy of an extensions can cause the lash to droop, prematurely fall out, or damage the hair follicle. 

If you’re guilty of any of these, it’s okay! Take this as the gentle nudge you need to make the correction 🥰
