A year.
That’s all that separates these two photos.
The first was taken last June. The second was taken just a few minutes ago….. in the exact same office.
Looking at them, I realized something after a conversation with a friend last night.
Some of the biggest changes in our lives happen so slowly that we don’t even notice them until we look back.
On July 12th, I’ll celebrate 9 years in remission from breast cancer. ❤️
That journey changed me forever..
This rest is in the comments 👇🏾

If you know me, you know my heart. 💚
I love wellness, DIY projects, healthy living, my Ohana, and this beautiful place I’m blessed to call home Alaska. 🏔️
Wilderness Edge is where all of those passions come together. Every detail was designed and built with love to create a peaceful place to rest, recharge, and experience the beauty of Alaska.
Step outside and you’ll hear the soft crunch of gravel beneath your feet, the whisper of wind through towering spruce trees, and the distant call of birds echoing across the mountains. The air is crisp and clean, carrying the fresh scent of pine and earth. And if you’re lucky, you might even catch a glimpse of a moose or bear wandering through. Inside, warm wood textures, soft blankets, and gentle lighting create a cozy retreat where you can unwind after a day of exploring.
From the trails just outside the door to the cozy spaces inside, my hope is that every guest leaves feeling refreshed and inspired.
I’m so excited to finally share these photos with you!
I’d love to know which space is your favorite? ✨

If you’re in your 50s and quietly wondering…
“why doesn’t my body respond like it used to?”
I’ve felt that too.
And honestly I’d say this shift starts around 40 😂
Same effort. Same routines.
But something feels different.
What I’ve learned is this our bodies in this season aren’t working against us
they’re asking for a different kind of support.
• a little more protein (around 30g per meal)
• more intention with strength
• less guessing, more nourishing
It’s not about doing more or being perfect.
It’s about listening and giving your body what it needs now.
When I made this shift, I started to feel stronger, more steady, and more like myself again.
Just small, consistent choices adding up.
How are you feeling in your body lately? 🤍

Today I picked a penny up off my car mat and had this thought…
So many of us feel like we’re not enough.
Like what we bring to the table is too small to matter.
Too small to make a difference.
But a penny reminds me that small things add up.
One healthy choice.
One walk.
One prayer.
One encouraging message.
One follow up.
One act of kindness.
One post.
One day at a time.
Maybe one penny by itself doesn’t seem like much…
But collect enough of them consistently and suddenly there’s momentum. There’s growth. There’s change.
That’s true in health.
In business.
In faith.
In family.
In becoming who God created you to be.
Don’t underestimate the power of small consistent steps.
They build legacy over time 🤍
Xoxo Denise 💞
If you’re building something from the ground up…
I want you to hear this.
You do not need more motivation.
You need movement.
Post before it feels perfect.
Send the message.
Follow up again.
Invite people in.
Stay consistent.
Momentum creates momentum.
So many people quit right before the breakthrough because they mistake slow progress for failure.
Don’t stop.
This is your life.
This is your business.
This is your season to show up.
Let’s go show ’em 🔥
