My name is Jenalie Medici Tao, 22 years of age, proudly born and raised in the enchanting islands of American Samoa — le motu o fiafiaga. I hail from the village of Onenoa, nestled at the far eastern edge of Tutuila, where the road ends and our cultural legacy begins.

I have always been passionate about interpersonal connection and the art of meaningful communication. During my academic years, I gravitated toward Mathematics, a discipline I admired for its precision, logic, and elegant complexity.

Nearly five years ago, I relocated to Alaska, where I have embraced new opportunities for growth and service. After my first year, I joined UTOPIA Alaska, a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering and uplifting our 2SLGBTQIA+ Pasifika community. I initially served as a Board Member and Secretary Assistant, and through continued commitment and leadership, I now serve as Board Co‑Chair and Vice President.

It is an honor to represent my community with integrity, cultural pride, and unwavering dedication to collective progress.

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT:

After careful considerations, we would like to announce that our deadline for applications is pushed back to February 14th due to unforeseen circumstances. We would also like to announce our New Pageant dates for Miss Samoa Alaska USA, is now March 13 for Interviews and Pre-pageant. Our official Pageant date is now March 14th. Exactly one month from the original date.

Thank you all for your patience and we cannot wait to introduce our official pageant contestants this year. We have an amazing group of young women who will be vying for the title of Miss Samoa Alaska USA. There's still time if you'd like to help sponsor a contestant or join the journey to the crown.
