Not too long ago, I was standing inside our brand-new beautiful building with more empty nail desks than filled ones. We had lost almost our entire nail team right before opening our new location, and if I’m being completely transparent, it was terrifying. We had built this beautiful space, we had the clientele, we had the room to grow… but we needed nail techs.

I prayed for God to send them. And He did.

Today I get to say something I have been waiting to say: MAGNOLIA JANE IS NO LONGER SHORT HANDED! 🥹🙌🏻

Right now we are training and growing six girls at one time: Jocelyn • Kenzie • Hallie • Maci • Lana • Amanda

Some of these are familiar faces you’ve already seen around Magnolia Jane since the move, and some are brand new. They are all at different places in their journey, but right now they have one very important thing in common: they need THEIR people.

Their books have openings, and I keep seeing these girls post, “I have openings this week!” or “I have availability tomorrow!” And every time I see it, I think about where every established nail tech started.

Because they aren’t just looking for someone to fill an opening tomorrow. They’re looking for their forever clients.

They’re looking for the woman who sits in their chair for the first time this week and is still sitting there years from now. The client who says, “Can we make this a little more square next time?” The one who says, “I like my cuticles done this way.” The one who comes back for appointment #2, then next thing you know you are on year 5. The one who gives grace when an appointment takes a little longer in the beginning and understands that speed comes with repetition. The one who communicates what she likes and gives her nail tech the opportunity to learn her.

Because that’s how a nail tech becomes YOUR nail tech.

I can promise you these girls ARE teachable. They WANT feedback. They want to improve. They want to learn what you like and what you don’t like. Every single appointment gives them another opportunity to become better than they were the appointment before.

There is something so special about the clients who can say, “I’ve been with her since day one.”

I know because I’ve had those clients myself. They knew me from the beginning. They watched me grow. They trusted me through the growing pains, and years later, those relationships mean more to me than they probably even realize.

So this is me asking our Magnolia Jane clients to help me do something really special. Let’s build these girls.

If you’ve been wanting a nail tech you can consistently book with, if you’ve had trouble getting an appointment, or if you’re willing to be someone’s “I was with her from the beginning” client… this is your opportunity.

Ask for Jocelyn. Ask for Kenzie. Ask for Hallie. Ask for Maci. Ask for Lana. Ask for Amanda.

Give them the chance to learn your nails, your style and your preferences. Come back. Communicate. Grow with them.

Because I truly believe there will come a day when these girls’ books are full, their confidence is completely different, and getting an appointment with them isn’t nearly as easy as it is today. And when that day comes, I want some of you to be able to smile and say, “That’s my nail girl. I’ve been with her since the beginning.” 🥹

A few months ago I was praying over empty stations. Now I’m praying over the girls sitting behind them!

God didn’t just fill the chairs. He sent us people to pour into and now it’s time to help them grow!
As always, Me Da and Hannah can lend a helping hand where needed and be there to give advice. Fixes are free and good learning opportunities for these girls!
