Southern Hedgewitch
Southern Hedgewitch makes handcrafted soap and bath products, emphasizing natural ingredients. Hi, I'm the Southern Hedgewitch.
I started making soap for my family as another project to become a self-sustainable household, and because my husband has very sensitive skin, so most soaps can be drying or irritating. Who knows what really goes into those commercially made soaps? My first real success came when I gave a bar of soap to my father-in-law, who was undergoing cancer treatments and was having skin issues as a result.

Clearance post!
Anything purchased will be shipped ASAP and each item sold will include another mystery item (older bar of soap, older lotion bar, etc) Older items may be discolored from age and exposure, I have to pack up and unpack soap every week for the Farmer’s Market, and that takes it’s toll on how they look, but they are still perfectly functional!
Here’s what I’ve got, everything is on sale for $4/bar, normally $6.
Julius (Orange Valencia): 9 bars
Michael (Oatmeal Milk and Honey: 7 bars
Bug Out (Insect Repelling): 5 bars
Edan (Blueberries and Cream Goat Milk): 4 bars
No minimum, payments can be made via Venmo () or Paypal ([email protected]). Include $5 for shipping. (Shipping might usually be more or less, I‘m just trying to clear things out!)

As you all might know by now, our lives are looking much different these days, with the arrival of our latest family member, Wyatt. This means that our farm goals are shifting into homesteading mode vs a commercial enterprise, for many reasons, but the most being that our fencing business is a priority for the guys, while Wyatt and things close to home are a priority for me.
With these things in mind, I’m planning on some major updates to our farm webpage, and am looking to relaunch my soap enterprise and add an actual shopping option for our soaps, jams/jellies, and arts/crafts from both myself and my super talented Mother-in-law, Mary. So you probably received a request to like this page recently, so please help make this endeavor a success!!
I’ll be needing feedback, ideas, and plenty of support, so I’ve also started a private VIP group to explore these things without cluttering up the main page here, so please join!

Two new soaps in the curing cabinet for the holidays! The green/white/yellow soap is one I haven’t done in awhile: ‘Gavin’ is a Kentish Rain fragrance, crisp and clean. The black/white soap is brand new: ‘Felicia’ is a Tea Tree Oil and Activated Charcoal facial bar, so you can say ‘Bye Felicia!’ to all those pesky facial blemishes and draw out impurities from your skin!
Soaps are $6/bar, and these will be ready in 4 weeks!

I may or may not have made my family pull into an empty lot to collect these, as we do not yet have any on our own property... Half of this is for tincturing, half is for tea mixes.
Time to get seriously motivated and turn some focus on this page again... But first, a little late spring cleaning is in order!!!
I just completed an inventory of the soap products I have, and am offering a clearance sale to clear the shelves to make way for new goodies. Unfortunately, I cannot offer these items to be shipped, farm pick-up is all I can do right now.

We have been working very hard at our farm endeavors, with the goal of opening our farm store by the end of this year. Southern Hedgewitch will have an official brick and mortar storefront!
In the meantime, this year will be spent formulating new herbal medicine recipes, restocking soap supply, hosting drop-in or scheduled soaping sessions/classes, and I am going to take a stab at the Facebook Shop system. Etsy has not been as easy to utilize and is difficult to promote, but it has been a great tool to learn more about online management and marketing. Simply because so much of our marketing strategy revolves around Facebook, it just makes sense to have our online presence be there. Hopefully, this will make it easier for our customers to communicate and interact with us too!
I would also like to work with other businesses to formulate unique offerings via wholesale, so if you are interested in having your very own soap for gift-giving or to offer in your own store, just let me know!
