⛱️ ALOHA from Jellystone!! It is luau week here 🐻🌲The family & I — hubby and the grandkids — are having a blast! 💚 We’re making memories, eating entirely too much camping food, and I’m trying to enjoy every minute of doing absolutely NO HAIR! 😂✂️ The salon may be closed, but Gramma duty is in FULL swing! 🤪
So thankful for a few days away with my favorite people. God is good, family time is precious!! I will be back at it September 9th — hopefully rested, refreshed & ready to create some beautiful hair! 💚 Until then… ALOHA from the campground! ⛱️🐻

I’ve been thinking about BLESSINGS and RESPONSIBILITY ✨️
Sometimes we pray for God to bless something, open doors, provide opportunities, and make the vision He’s given us successful—but we forget that we still have a part to play in that!! When God began changing the way I saw my salon, I truly believed He was showing me what it could become. I believed He could bless it, use it as a ministry, and allow it to prosper. But along with that vision came a realization: I had to change too!!
I couldn’t ask God to bless my business while continuing to treat it casually and be lazy.
Blessing and obedience don’t mean passivity!! I had to change my perspective, become more intentional, make myself more available and flexible, put effort into promoting it, serve people well, and actually do the work required to help it grow. 🌱🌿
I’ve learned there’s a difference between trying to make something happen without God and working faithfully with what God has placed in my hands.
God’s blessing doesn’t always mean we sit back and watch Him do everything, especially in the business world. Sometimes the blessing is the opportunity!! Sometimes it’s the idea, the open door, the resources, the ability, or the vision—and then He says, “Now be faithful with it.” 🤍

“Commit your work to the Lord, and your plans will be established.” — Proverbs 16:3

I absolutely believe God has blessed me with this new perspective, and with my salon, but I also know He has been teaching me to steward that blessing well. And honestly, watching what happens when faith, obedience, and hard work come together has been pretty amazing. Don’t just pray for the blessing. Be willing to do the work that comes with it... if you do that, there is NO LIMIT to what you and God can accomplish!!

Ready for a Wednesday Refresh?? How about a WORRY-LESS WEDNESDAY 🤍

I’ve been thinking today about how differently I handle worry than I used to. I won’t say I NEVER worry. I’m human. There are moments when something crosses my mind, especially when it involves things completely outside of my control...but worry doesn’t consume me. 🚫
And I truly believe that’s because I’ve learned what it means to depend on the Lord!!
The more I’ve pressed into my walk with Him, the more I’ve seen His faithfulness—not just in the big things, but in the smallest details. I’ve watched Him provide in ways that are so perfectly timed that I have a hard time calling them coincidence. There have been times when a need comes up, and somehow the provision was already placed in my hands. A client came the day before. An unexpected blessing showed up. Something I needed was provided before I even knew I was going to need it!! Some people may call that coincidence. I call it PROVISION.
I try to live with integrity, treat people right, give when I’m able, and trust God with what I cannot control. And over time, He has shown me again and again that I don't have to have everything figured out. That doesn’t mean life will always be easy or that I’ll never have a worried thought. It just means I've learned where to take it when I do!!

“Cast all your anxiety on Him because He cares for you.” — 1 Peter 5:7

Today I’m grateful that worry may still knock on the door sometimes…but it doesn’t get to move in!!🤍
