6/21 will always be special to me, this year I am celebrating 11 years of being a ❕ I just had to reach up to Heaven and tell the Lord THANK YOU 🙌🏽

I was a little unsure of my career choice after all my high school friends went on to graduate from college (I dropped out 3 times 🤦🏽‍♀️), I made a decision to follow in my Mom’s footsteps before this was a hot career path with a million masterclasses on IG. 😂

I can say God has truly blessed Randi Hicks Hair Care LLC. I’ve had so many opportunities and met some really great people. If you’ve ever sat in my chair, liked/shared a post, followed me on social media, referred someone, or just admired from afar - please know that I’m grateful for it all.

If you know me, you know I never talk numbers (I’m very private and see too many people misrepresenting their numbers online for clout 👀), but to continue to have our profit grow year after year, even throughout a pandemic - ONLY working 3 days a week, I’m telling you its only God. No backup plan, no second stream (praying on that🤔), no PPP scams 🫣 just :

There were 2 things that kept my attention during Skyla’s appointment. One - how much her hair has grown since the first time I did it in 2018 (swipe to last pic). The second being that my girl had on Huaraches and white church socks the day before Easter. I mean, baby girl was ready for WHATEVER!!! 😂⛪️🏀👧🏾🥰

Happy International Women’s Day Ladies!

This has been a tumultuous time for many, including myself. If I’m honest, I haven’t been my best self over the past 6 months. Today I just want to first celebrate ME, for emerging from the ashes of heaviness, grief, and doubt….For taking matters into my prayer closet, and doing the WORK to be the best I can be with what I do have left….For no longer comparing what I have with what I thought I lost. I’m focused on the future and I truly thank God for repositioning my heart to be loved by Him, and helping me to make what I went through look easy.

I’m healing every day, because I’m trusting God every day. I was today years old when I realized how important it is to truly give something over to Him. In order to have joy you have to RELEASE pain. RELEASE your anger, hurt, frustration, and disappointments to God because it’s impossible to have it both ways. As long as your hands are gripping the past, God will look the other way. Healing comes through total surrender.

I also want to take the time to appreciate all of the women in my small circle (it’s gotten a lot bigger thanks to them, it used to be a dot 😂). I love y’all. They are all women of great faith, vision, strength, and they aren’t afraid to show the world the GLORY and beauty that God has placed inside of them. There’s so much more in store for each of them.

This is also a reminder to myself that I will no longer sleep on RANDI, I will not attempt to pour from an empty cup, and I will ALWAYS protect my peace/progress. I hate to be cliche, but the next set of wins is VERY personal.
