đź’™ Cleaning With Compassion: June Community Fundraiser đź’™
This month, our Cleaning With Compassion program is focused on helping a local woman who has spent the last year caring for everyone around her while her own health continues to suffer.
When we first met her, she had just returned home after being hospitalized with pneumonia while traveling overseas. Shortly afterward, her father became seriously ill, and she moved in to help care for him both physically and financially.
Since then, their journey has only become more difficult.
Both contracted COVID, which developed into long-term health complications. While caring for her father, she suffered injuries of her own and has struggled to recover. Her father has been hospitalized multiple times in recent months and now requires increasing levels of care. The emotional, physical, and financial strain has become overwhelming.
She is exhausted.
Many days she barely has the energy to prepare a meal for herself. She spends her time focused on caring for someone else while her own health and well-being continue to take a back seat.
This June, we want to show her that she is not carrying this burden alone.
Our goal is to cover the cost of her home cleaning services for the next 3 months so she can focus on healing and caring for her family. Any funds raised beyond the cost of those services will go directly to her to help with daily living expenses and other needs.
We are also organizing meal support and restaurant/grocery gift cards to help ensure she has access to easy meals during this difficult season.
