We are a larger family by today's standards. We have 5 kids that help Liz and I out around our small farm. And we have 10 Nigerian Dwarf goats who reside here permanently. They produce milk after giving birth to the most adorable babies. And then we enjoy fresh milk, yogurt, cheese, and of course our soap. We selected the Nigerian Dwarf breed because of the higher butterfat content in their milk. But it also produces the most glorious, moisturizing soap! We mostly grow food for our family and sell a little when we over produce. We have raised chickens, rabbits, ducks, and even quail for years. In fact, we even operated a worm farm where we grew red wigglers for vermicomposting. But it was not until 2016 that we moved to our current location in Chatham county, NC. We carved out our little piece of heaven here, the only thing we can complain about is our terrible Internet. We have an awesome flock of layer chickens who free range around our property. Those lovely girls provide our family with fresh eggs. We also have 4 Palm turkeys who march around our property gobbling and calling out to guests. Our rabbits are mainly here for a source of garden fertilizer and building the soil. And we have a few dogs....a house dog and our livestock guardian, Zeke (he rocks). He has been protecting our animals for a few years now.

We survived the summer heat! Things are a little less green around here, but the goats now frolicking about. Bean has already figured out how to get into our hay storage to help herself to snacks whenever she likes.
