Consider your artist carefully. This is more than a beauty service....it is a cosmetic tattoo and with that comes risks, if your artist isn't trained properly. Not all trainings are created equal...I've seen and heard horrific things that make me shutter in my 21 years in this industry. This attached post is a little tongue in cheek but highlights a real problem when artists who took a quick, cheap training and don't know the fundamentals of what they should know as artists.
