Went and attended Core Cutting 1 today with a couple of my employees 🥰 Continuing Education is key to staying on trend, but basics are the foundation and principles of any good cut. 🙌💇‍♀️

Spent some time with my at the salon today 🥰 shaggy mullet inspired cut and a face halo of highlights 🤩 The lighting gave her a sunny glow that does no justice for the color, but her glow up is 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

I am in LOVE with Aveda’s new NC color line!! Did a super blended highlight/lowlight today using 9N. And 6NC on natural level 7. First pic is inside: Look at that SHINE!!! Second pic is outside: LOVE the neutral tones 😍

A loan to Carmen A loan of $15,000 helps a woman-owned, eco-sustainable business pay for expansion renovations.

Cathy came in last week for a consultation and yesterday for her appointment. When she first came in, she had two main concerns. 1) Grey coverage. She had about 6 inches of grey outgrowth. 2) She wanted her curls back. She had 3-4 inches of straight hair at her ends, due to heat damage from straightening (we determined the heat setting she was using on her flat iron was too high and she also needs to incorporate a heat protectant.)

The solution: Cut the damaged ends off and reshaped her cut to bring back her curls and give her haircut a shape. I used cutting techniques to achieve this cut. For color, we matched her natural cool dark brown to cover grey, then added in baby lights to a) make her curls POP and b) help blend the grey as her hair grows out again.
