Hairs & His by Cassie
After 10 years of working in the cosmetology/barbering industry, I have decided to go into business
TO ALL MY CUSTOMERS, PLEASE READ.
This is an important post for all my customers. It is a long post, with a lot to explain. With a heavy heart I announce that as of Sept 5th, I will be closing my salon business, and transitioning to be a stay at home mom for the time being. This was not a decision that was made easily. If I had the option, I would have done this all very differently. As you all know life can change in a second, and things happen out of our control. There have been circumstances with our child care that unfortunately did not work out like we had hoped or planned for. It's left our family with some unforseen stress between not having child care for our daughter, and trying to remain working for all my customers that I have booked. To find replacement and dependable care for our child is not easy to find, especially on short notice, so we have made the difficult decision for me to take a temporary leave from my career and raise Madelyn. I thankfully have an amazing support system at home and within our family. I have been able to accommodate to majority of my prebooked customers over the next weeks thanks to my amazing mother in law and my mother for helping us out in caring for our daughter. This has given me the ability to continue to work to keep my loyalty to my customer's appointments this month and last month. Without them, I would not have been able to continue working during the weekdays. To all my customers that have graciously moved your appointments to alternate days and times, I sincerely thank you for your flexibility. As you know I have prided myself in this business over the last 6 years and have continued to be loyal to my schedule. It is not in my nature to cancel or move customers around, so again thank you. For all the customers not already on my books that I may not be able to get in before Sept, I am truly sorry. It is devastating to me that I am not able to see you one last time or have the closure with all of you that I would have liked. This all came so unexpectedly, but our daughter has to come first with our decisions from here on out. I want to truly thank you all for your loyalty and support of my business over the last 6 years. I am appreciative of this opportunity I have had to service you and have been truly blessed with the relationships with you all. It's been like having a second family and it is quite emotional for me to be saying farewell, especially so suddenly. With all this being said, I want to think of this as a temporary leave from my career. I do hope to open up my business again in the future. When that time will be, I trust that God will take care of that for us. I plan on saving all of my customers contacts for a future date when I open again. The goal would be to open up my business out of my home, so I hope that I get to see you all again. I will be officially canceling my business line at the end of September, so my goal is to inform as many customers as I can before that time. If anyone would like to reach out to me about all of this, please message me privately. Again, thank you for all your support in making my career business a reality. I wouldn't have gotten this far without you all! 💕

Just a courtesy update to my customers: I am officially booked up for appointments until my maternity leave. I have 5 weeks of work left. With my limited hours, my schedule has filled up. If you do not have an appointment booked with me over the next 5 weeks and would like to try to get in, I would be happy to put you on my cancelation list. In the event that I can not accommodate to your service during this time, I can do my best to refer you to another stylist until my return. I appreciate all your support and loyalty over the years. I hope you see you all again when I return from maternity leave in June 😊

Happy New Year!! 🎉 Wow, what a year it has been! I want to express my gratitude to all of you who have continued to support my business this year. It is no surprise that this year has brought about a lot of changes and challenges for all of us. I feel beyond blessed that I have still been able to keep my business running, and have been able to perform my services to you while having the support from all of my wonderful clients. With that being said, please read below the following changes/adjustments coming in 2021.
This year has some life changes coming. My husband and I will be expecting our first child in March! 💕 I will be taking maternity leave starting March 1st and will be returning back to work sometime in June. I will be taking a 12 week maternity leave. Please check my business page for future posts on my return date. I will be shortening my hours in January and February as to not over work myself and focus on my health during these last few months of pregnancy. If you haven't done so already, please book your appointment with me prior to my leave date. My schedule has begun to fill up fast for January and February already. Based on how fast I am booking in for the next 2 months along with my shortened hours, I won't be able to accommodate to everyone unfortunately.
Due to a high demand for appointments, I will be enforcing a cancelation policy effective Jan 2021. There will be exemptions from this policy such as sickness/COVID related illness or exposure. There will be a 50% service fee for cancelations without a 24 hour notice, and 100% service fee for no-shows and/or cancelations less than a 12 hour notice. I kindly ask you to give me at 24 hour or more notice if you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment. This gives me the opportunity to fill the empty slot and secure my time. Cancelations fees will be required before booking any future appointments with me. Thank you for your understanding and I look forward to seeing you all in 2021! 😊
Just an update to all my customers that my schedule is filling up fast before Thanksgiving. I only have a few openings left on the week of Thanksgiving. My next available appointments won't be until November 30th. Please contact me if you would like to schedule an appointment for one of my spots I have left. Thank you for all your support during this difficult year!! 😊
Just a note to all my customers: I will be on a short vacation starting Saturday, Sept 26th through Monday, Sept 28th. I will be returning to work on Tuesday, Sept 29th. I will likely not have the best cell service where I will be, so I will return any messages upon my return. Thank you!!

Excited with these results today bring my client back to her natural, beautiful gray. My first time ever performing this service!!! Made sure to do my homework for this process. Definitely a lot of work, but Olaplex kept her hair strong. Still have a bit of warmth in certain areas, but we were pleased with the end result! 😊
To all my customers, I want to extend my deepest gratitude and thankfulness to you all. It has been 5 weeks since I've been allowed to open my business, and service you all with proper safety measures in place. I am truly grateful to have such amazing customers! I am truly appreciative of all of your understanding of my new ways to operate. It is also very humbling, and I feel very blessed to have such wonderful, generous customers that have returned back to me after all the craziness in this world. Please know, I would not be here without you!! I've seen so many of you in the past 5 weeks, and because of ALL of you supporting my small business; I will be able to financially keep my business open in the future. My heart goes out to all the small businesses out there trying to keep their business running safely and successfully. I hope and pray that all these small businesses will be able to stay in business for the future months and years to come. We need our community for support. So again, thank you to all for your support and loyalty during these uncertain times! 💕

Quarantime hair before & after! Olaplex was used during her service to keep and restore the health of her hair during this transformation. Loved the end results! Very happy to be back at the profession I love! 🤩😍
To all my customers.......I am so excited to announce I will be opening at the salon starting Monday, May 18th. With this said, there will be changes to how I will have to operate to keep all of our safety first priority. I will be concentrating on moving customers and getting everyone scheduled as timely as I can. Please read and understand these changes when coming in for your appointment. Please remember, these are temporary changes.
* Please be PROMPT for your appointment. I will have extra cleaning and sanitizing to do in between each appointment. If you are late, I may have to reschedule you to a different day.
* I ask you to be honest about your health. If you have any symptoms of sickness, I reserve the right to reschedule your appointment. I may take your temperature prior to your appointment if I feel necessary. Please refrain from coming in if you have any symptoms. Please reschedule your appointment if you have had contact with someone who has tested positive for COVID-19 in the last 2 weeks and/or if you are waiting for a pending test for COVID-19. This is for all of our safety.
* You can wash or sanitize your hands upon entering our salon.
* I will NOT be offering nose waxing or beard trim services at this time until I feel safer to do so. I will also be omitting the short shoulder massages for the time being. I do plan on eventually having these services again in the near future.
* I will only be offering services to booked appointments. No walk-ins at this time please. I will not be able to take new customers at this time until I can get my existing customers taken care of.
* All customers will still have to maintain social distancing of 6 feet in the salon. We have omitted magazines, coffee, water, extra chairs, etc from our waiting area. Please come in the salon for your appointment alone. If you are accompanied with a child that needs your help with the haircut service, I will make adjustments for that. If you come in with more than one person all getting haircuts, I ask that you come in one and a time. Please wait in your car until I am finished and ready to take you next.
* I will be wearing a mask during your service. I will not require you to wear one, but you are more than welcome to if you would like. I will have a few extra masks on hand to give to those who don't have any.
Thank you all for your understanding and support. My goal is to accommodate to as many of you as I can soon! I am very excited to have the chance to open the salon with all the necessary safety precautions! 😊
To all my customers.......after watching the press conference, the health administration for the City of Appleton has reinforced the stay at home order. The order states that they get up until May 20th (6 days) to make a PLAN for reopening businesses. To my understanding, this does NOT guarantee that I get to open on May 20th. Hopefully they will have a plan at that time, and we can get more concrete information on which businesses can open and what restrictions we have to abide by. I will not be currently booking appointments earlier than May 26th until I have this definite information. What I am doing during this time is gathering all my products and sanitary supplies for my business. I am taking this time to prepare and guarantee when that time comes, I am ready to safely open for you all. Please be patient when I am back up and running. My March/April prebooked appointments that had to wait the longest will be the first I accommodate to. I have two lists going with customers who had to reschedule as well as customers who call to make a future appointment. I will return calls/texts as promptly as I can. Please remember that I am a one woman show. One person to respond to over 100 customers to get them booked and update them on changes. I have always been prompt in responding, so I ask that you be patient, as I am doing the best I can. When I do get to open, there will be restrictions in place. I will be posting these on my page and messaging you before your appointment. These will be temporary changes until life resumes as normal, but i do need to enforce them to run my business as safely as possible. Thank you all for your understanding!
