I love trying to bring all my client’s inspo to life but sometimes the hair tells you what it really needs.

My lovely client came in looking to be lighter. Unfortunately, her hair was at its last straw. We did a strand test to check the integrity and the hair became really stretchy. We agreed on postponing her lightening appointment and to get her hair healthy first. That day, our first appointment was more focus on toning out the warmth and doing treatments. I sent her home with Davines Beautiful Things leave in treatment and told her to use it for a month to help further repair her hair. Then maybe after the one month, we can see if her hair has improved enough to go lighter.

Fast forward to this day, her hair definitely improved a lot compared to the first time I saw her. We were able to get her to a light brown/ dark blonde safely. However, her old color history definitely prevented us from getting any lighter that day. It’s a great start!
