We are thrilled to be bringing a children’s and teen clothing boutique to Arab!

I want to share the heart behind Southern Bloom. My name is Kristin Waldrop, and I’ve been part of the Arab community my entire life. You may have seen me running around Pesnell Tire as a young girl right on my grandfather’s heels, working at the nursing home in town, helping at my husband’s off-road shop south of town, or cheering at a local sporting event. Being part of this community is something we truly love.

I’ve always had a passion for fashion, and over the past few years—watching my youngest daughter grow from a “little girl” into a young woman—we’ve struggled to find clothing that is both flattering and age-appropriate. I often found myself saying, “I wish they offered this,” or “Where can we find that style?”

One day, my husband said, “If you can’t find it, why don’t you create it?”
And that’s when the idea truly bloomed. 🌸

From there, we started asking around—what do families want? What challenges do you face when shopping for your children? We listened, and we’re so excited to bring those answers to life.

At Southern Bloom, we’re proud to offer apparel for both girls and boys. We believe every child deserves to feel confident, comfortable, and uniquely themselves. Our collections are thoughtfully curated to bring you high-quality children’s and teen apparel at a price point for every budget—because style should be accessible, not exclusive.

More than a boutique, this is a calling. Our foundation is built on the belief to “bloom where you are planted.” We trust that God has opened this door, and our mission is to grow through His light—creating a space that inspires confidence, kindness, and beauty from the inside out.
