Our story is not just ours - it’s the reality of thousands of families facing the same challenges right now. We didn’t just lose a house—we lost our home. A place where memories were made, where we found safety and peace. We didn’t just lose things - we lost pieces of ourselves. Memories of growing up, raising our kids, and symbols of every season of our lives, now gone. It wasn’t just a building we lost - it was 25 years of hard work, sacrifice, and everything I’d done as an entrepreneur to create a fully paid-off home for my family. That day we didn’t just watch our home burn down - we watched the trust in the people and systems meant to protect us also go up in flames. On September 14, @statefarm dropped us from our insurance coverage. We were denied by every other carrier and told we didn’t qualify for the CA FAIR Plan because our home’s value was “too high.” People keep asking, “How are you doing?” I’d never fathom how hard this question would be to answer. The truth is, we’re doing. I’ve always believed that God never gives us more than we can handle. This is the hardest season we’ve ever faced - but I’m holding on to faith. Faith that there’s a greater purpose in all of this, even if I can’t see it yet. What’s helping us move forward is you - this community, your love, and your support. Knowing we’re not alone makes all the difference. I’m choosing to trust that this isn’t just about loss - this chapter is part of a bigger story still being written. Thank you.
