⚡️STOP N CHOP TURNS TWO⚡️
This month makes two years since I first opened up ‘Big Barbra’ aka The Barbers Truck!
Fortunate to have so many clients that have sat in my chair, shared laughs, life stories, and important milestones.
Im one of the lucky ones that truly loves my job, it never feels like work for me. Thank you for supporting me, this dream, and a small business!
I appreciate every single one of you for giving me the opportunity to make you look and feel great.
THANK YOU!!

It’s just a haircut to you, but to me, I’m creating art.
Anyone can cut your hair, but this is exactly what makes up and sets apart a great Barber from someone who just cuts your hair.

I only managed to get 3 of the 33 cuts I did in 3 days 😮💨
I appreciate yall keeping me busy and those books filled! I’m taking a long weekend to spend time with the fam, I hope to catch yall on the next one 🤙🏻

Only a couple spots left open this week
Next week only the 13th and 14th have openings so if you think you’ll need a cut soon, book it asap!
Once those are gone, I’m booked until the 18th!

‼️💥 I’ve opened up my schedule a little more so if you’ve had to book 1+ week out, go check out my books 👀

💙♾️ April is Autism Awareness and Acceptance Month and April 2nd marks World Autism Day! ♾️💙
You all know me as your Barber but outside of the shop, I am a mother to a 7 year old boy, who is Autistic. I have 16 years of experience behind the chair, and even for us, haircuts have been challenging.
If this sounds like your family, you are not alone!
For most people, a haircut offers a small act of self care, it boosts confidence, it feels like a psychological “refresh”. But for individuals with Autism or Sensory Sensitivities, haircuts can be pretty dreadful.
It’s complete sensory overload and feels like they have little control or Autonomy, and even physically painful.
❌Without proper support, haircuts actually become traumatic experiences❌
As a parent, and a Barber, I’ve seen first hand the importance of Advocacy within the Barbershop.
This is why I became a Certified Sensory Safe Barber with The Sensory Safe Solution
Often times when I have new clients, my Accommodative Services actually start with me UNDOING the trauma from negative experiences first by gaining their trust, and making them comfortable by meeting them at their level.
If you’re a hair professional, we cannot keep holding children down and shaving their heads and calling this a “professional service”, just because we’re not educated on how to appropriately support.
We can do better than this.
Autism goes far beyond haircuts, it’s just a big part of what I’m passionate about at Stop N Chop.
💙For my clients who see me for my Sensory Services, THANK YOU.
I hope I have made a positive impact to your child’s confidence in a Barbershop setting.
I see how hard your children work to overcome and I see how hard you as parents work, to provide your children with the tools they need to succeed.
-If you are not local to me and are in need of a Sensory Safe Stylist or Barber, Sensory Safe Solutions has a Nation wide Database where you can find Certified Stylists and Barbers near you by visiting their website, ‘Find a Provider’
https://www.thesensorysafesolution.org
Please teach your children about Neurodiversity and inclusion. If you are a hair professional, please take the time to get certified with Sensory Safe Solutions.
Remember, Autistic children grow up to be Autistic adults. Take the time to learn about what it truly means to be Autistic.
It is not linear.
Presume Competence.
Nonspeaking does not mean non-communicative.
Be Kind.
Be Inclusive.
💙
Today and every day, I aim to raise awareness, foster acceptance and help build a society where autistic people feel understood and empowered.
Together we can create a world where everyone is valued and accepted for who they are.

It’s been a while since I’ve posted on here- sorry gang!
I know that many of you have noticed my books lately..
I hate that anyone has to wait extended times for an appointment, but on the other hand, it’s evidence that I have a strong and committed client base supporting me, and willing to do so!
I’m truly flattered by yalls loyalty and patience to sit in my chair. Thank you 🙏🏻
