Happy Father’s Day. Being a father is the greatest thing that has ever happened to me.
Not a degree. Not a career. Not anything I have built professionally.
The moment you become a father everything reorganizes itself around a new center of gravity. Your priorities shift without you even deciding to shift them. Your definition of success quietly changes. What matters becomes crystal clear.
I watch my kids and think about my own dad — the sacrifices he made that I did not fully understand until I was making them myself. The presence he showed up with. The standard he set without ever making it feel like a standard.
And my father in law — who raised a woman of extraordinary character, intelligence, and heart. Who taught her what it looked like to be loved well by a father. A gift I benefit from every single day.

🇺🇸⚽️ This was us at clinic today!
Soccer has been part of my life longer than almost anything else.
Played as a kid. Through college. Kept it going in a league through my 30s. Even coached my kids’ team for a while. This sport gets into your blood and never really leaves.
And there is nothing quite like the World Cup. Different cultures. Different languages. Nations that share nothing else somehow sharing everything for 90 minutes. Rooting for the underdog. Watching legends like Messi make history in real time.
This is what the world looks like when it decides to get along. The soccer community has always known something the rest of the world is still figuring out — that a ball and a pitch and 90 minutes is all it takes to make complete strangers feel like family.
During the World Cup the whole world finally gets it. 🫶
