Dan is talented and always very friendly and recognizes his regular customers. As the other reviewers mention, he has a very kid-friendly atmosphere with race-car chairs and a selection of Pixar movies. There can be waits especially on weekend mornings, but in my opinion is well worth the time.

I've gotten my hair cut here for a few years and have never been disappointed. Dan greets you with a bottled water, cuts your hair, gives you a hot towel for your face, and is always very accommodating. Great haircut at a great price. Excellent value!!

Hair Cuttery opened up one of their bland chain stores in the same strip mall as Harrison Barber Shop in order to drive out the competition. Dan at HBS is much more friendly and much more skilled than anyone at the Hair Cuttery. You get a warm greeting and free bottled water upon entering, every time. Great for kids.

Expect a wait but you'll get a fine haircut for men and boys. Dan is an excellent barber and pays attention to detail. He is friendly and patient, however because he is by himself, and due to his conscientious nature, there is more often than not a long wait. With that said, I don't trust anyone else at this time, despite the temptation to head over to the impersonal Hair Cuttery a few storefronts down from the barber shop.

I've been getting my hair cut here for years. The owner is a very nice man and always does a great job. (Like the other reviews mention, I always get a bottle of water.) He's very well equipped for cutting kids' hair, too. Not only is there a big bin of toys in the front of the shop, he also has race-car seats and a few TVs with animated movies. I've recommended this place to a few friends as an alternative to those chain shops, and they've all been very satisfied.

I've never had a better haircut than those I've gotten at Harrison. Dan and his staff are fast, skillful and very pleasant, and always worth the wait if the shop is busy. That they're only three blocks from my house makes it worth six stars. The perfect neighborhood barbershop!

This is no longer Aponte's, for number of years now. I always have Dan, who owns and runs it, cut my two boys' hair. He is always is polite, using ma'am and sir, remembers our names, offers his customers small bottles of water while they wait. Toys and kids' books for kids as they wait, seat shaped as car for toddlers. He's corrected a couple cuts done by other shops. He knows well how cut men's boys' hair. The extra $2 is worth just the gracious example he is to my children, the personal touch of remembering our names, and thoughtfulness of sending lollypops to siblings that didn't come that day.

Good old fashioned barber shop. Lather shave on neck and around ears, and hot towel at end. Quality haircut from a nice barber.

This is a great barber shop for little boys. Barber Dan is extremely patient and understanding and my son is a screamer. The movie really helps. We've been three times so far and will continue to go, its worth every penny.
