The Known Truths About Acne

Acne is a very common skin condition that affects people all over the world. Something like 85% of all people are affected by acne at some point in their lives.

I am personally not a fan of conventional acne treatments. They tend to be expensive, inconsistent and can cause undesirable outcomes like redness, dryness and irritation. They often make a bad situation worse.

Here are my tricks for maintaining acne free skin.

1.) Use a professional grade cleanser in the morning and evening.

2.) Get a facial on a regular basis to make sure pores remain clear and free of plugged oils.

3.) Treat yourself to a chemical peel at least every 90 days. This will help remove any scars, reduce lines and eliminate any unwanted bacteria.

4.) Eat a skin healthy diet. I am not a doctor so you need to make sure these foods are right for you. Foods like avocados, sunflower seeds, foods rich in omega 3’s and dark chocolate all help the skin maintain a healthy glow.
