Today marks 13 years of J&L Hair Studio in Arlington — and looking at this photo, we can’t help but think about everything it took to get here.
When we opened J&L, we had no idea what the next 13 years would bring. We’ve grown, changed, learned A LOT, made mistakes, celebrated wins, survived some pretty crazy years 😅 and somehow built this incredible little salon community along the way.
But the best part has always been the people.
The clients who have trusted us with their hair (and their lives!) year after year. The team members who have helped shape J&L. The Arlington community that continues to support our small business. And this team right here, who we are so incredibly proud of. 💜
Thirteen years later, we still love what we do cutting curls, creating beautiful color, learning, teaching, laughing, and making people feel good when they leave our chairs.

Twenty-one years after graduating from Minuteman, Liz and the J&L team had the best time supporting the school’s students at Music Bingo. We believe strong communities are built through lasting relationships, and we’re grateful to be part of that story.
